Excellent Restaurant

The hotel is conveniently situated alongside a dual carriageway section of road leading to the peage. It is clearly signed and easy to find. Noise from the road was not a problem, particularly since the majority of rooms face away from the road across well tended gardens to a nature area alongside the river. Dinner was served in the restaurant which also catered for non-hotel guests. The restaurant was virtually full, with many non-guests, testiment to the quality and choice of food available. The wine list was comprehensive. The hotel was excellent for a one-night stopover.

There is no elevator and the stairs are somewhat awkward particularly since they are closed off from reception by heavy double doors which are an issue when dealing with luggage.

We enjoyd our stay at the hotel and it met all our needs when travelling through France.The food was very good ad the rooms confortable.Will use again on future visits to the area.

It took some findings,could perhaps do with more information on the booking form and/ or direction signs after leaving the auto route..

Food, in particular, was vey good

Very friendly reception staff when we checked in early and they were very accommodating in allocating a room. We had an upstairs room with a balcony overlooking the large garden area near the Loire River. The room was very clean and comfortable. We dined in the hotel restaurant which serves excellent meals and the staff were very friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. The hotel is well located near the wine growing area of Sancerre and although adjacent to a main highway there was no problem with traffic noise. The added bonus was access to a minibar refrigerator in the guest room. An excellent hotel for a relaxing stay.

The manager Colette is a wonderful asset to this hotel and goes way above the norm in helping the guests. (plugs for US electric and making sure that the attached restaurent has a table reserved for dinner) This is a Relais, it is clean and the rooms are large with "on suite" toilet bath etc. grounds are large and there is a large play area for the children. Walking trails to the Loire.

A long walk or its a car trip to the nearest village.

Our room on the first floor had a balcony overlooking the garden whilst those on the ground floor had a small terrace. This was a pleasant spot for a drink after a hot day in the car. There was a well-stocked mini bar, at reasonable prices, and a fridge big enough for some of our own things. The evening meal was excellent and again very reasonably priced. We will definitely use this hotel again.

Restaurant service was a average. Food was ok though

The hotel was in a good location as a stopover on the way to the south of france. The room was excellent. The evening meal was pricy but breakfast was excellent.

To close to Autoroute.

The dinner I enjoyed at their restaurant was of an very good value for money with a lovely view on a large (well maintained) playground and field.

The owner was very gentle and nice. The room is apropriete and opening the lawn door one can hear the slow movement of The Loire alongside his journey to the Rhone. They have a good restaurant serving some good wines from the region.

Lovely setting; despite proximity to motorway very quiet. Restaurant gives reasonable menus at different price levels. Good short stay hotel.

Not as near to Pouilly as we were given to understand.

The reception was excellent - friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and restaurant food was good. Although close to motorway very quiet. Would visit again.

Helpfulness of staff and keeping the resturant open very late for us

The rooms are looking a little dated, although still very comfortable.

The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was large, clean and tidy and gave out onto a big garden area. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The restaurant had a good menu and was good value. The location was perfect - halfway from the north to the south of France and easy to find/access from the A77. Pouilly sur Loire is a pleasant town.

On our return visit there was a noisy compressor or aircon motor rumbling on and off all night near our room.

le calme L hotel est bien agencé et les chambres ne sont pas cote route donc aucun bruit de circulation. reveil par le chant des oiseaux. personnel attentionné et poli. bon resto

Le calme et la situation géographique. Le petit déjeuner correct.

Le restaurant beaucoup trop cher à la carte pour des plats mal préparés et mal présentés et surtout aucun goût.

Proximité avec l'A7 pas gênante, mais dommage.
