Excellent staff. Marvellous spacious room and shower room for disabled husband.Interesting decor- very French not impersonal chain. Car parking free and very close.

Would have liked to have eaten there at lunchtime but we can't complain because they have an excellent bistro near the cathedral which we were taken to!

Restaurant was over priced

To be sure, you cannot expect a great diversity in those small countryside and not touristic towns, but this one foots the bill. - Old mansion, well refurbished in the main building, some antiques, great lobby. - Good rooms, bed and large bathrooms (note that I took a Deluxe in the main building). - Good location next to main boulevards, easy to access, and a short walk to the main touristic sites. WARNING: the location on Google map is not accurate, so better to use their website map. - Impressive and elegant restaurant; their discovery menu is quite original. If you do not fancy "caramelized navets and warm foie gras", you can take the more simple menu du jour. The menu decouverte costs about EURO 50 with wines, it is quite good, but for that price do not expect the real 2 stars Michelin. - The town is actually very nice to visit, a cathedral which, IMHO, beats by far Notre Dame of Paris, a very nice medieval city center... so save a few hours for this. - Friendly and helpful staff. - They have a "full inclusive" package, including the breakfast and menu du jour, which you can negotiate when checking-in... but you must know about it, they will not volunteer it (that's the tip for the people who read my review till the end :-) )

- Doors are not soundproof, so you will hear everyone leaving the room early morning. - Shower temperature in the morning is not very reliable, if you wake up later, better to take the shower in the evening. - No mineral or drinking water, and the tap water bears much chlorine...

Smell as in old cellar

Having read other reviews I was not sure what to expect of this hotel and therefore had relatively low expectations. It exceeded my expectations in every way and wonder if the other reviewers went to the same hotel. The rooms were large and well furnished in a "French" style rather than so many hotels that just look exactly the same once you are inside the rooms. The other rooms were also individually and well designed. The dinner on Saturday was also better than expected and for the quality of food, presentation and service the price was about right. The hotel recommended a local restaurant within walking distance for Friday night which was also very good. My mother who accompanied us has mobility problems and she had a room on the ground floor and the staff were extrememely helpful to her. They were even good natured when she mis-used the shower and accidentally soaked the whole bathroom, all the towels as well as the bedroom carpet . The location was at near enough to allow you to walk into the town, which was not large, or particularly pretty, but had a nice market Saturday morning and was well placed for visiting the Somme. I would recommend the hotel (preferably rooms in the hotel rather than annexe) as excellent providing you are not looking for a cheap "international" bland hotel.

I cannot fault anything

The rooms, the appearance of the hotel, friendly personel.

The smell. It smelled old.

Room and en suite shower clean and nicely decorated, and easy to get to on the first floor. Staff very friendly and helpful and spoke English. Gourmet restaurant very impressive, although the hungry might wish for bigger portions. Town easy to walk down to from the hotel, with a variety of bars and restaurants.

We did enjoy our stay, the following points are not meant to be overly critical. Double room for 80E was in the annex not the main building. Parking next to the annex was for the disabled, although hotel waived this as there were no disabled guests. Excessive road noise meant sleeping with the window closed, not ideal in August. Restaurant wine list very expensive. I'd prefer restaurants to be honest about the cost of the meal, not load all the profit onto the wine! No coffee/tea making facilities in the room.

Our stay was fantastic. The only downside was thatin the town itself everything was shut by 5pm despite it being a Friday night, however we had a car and could go to other places. Very close to town centre adn train station as well as good for visiting Paris.

The food was good but very expensive.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant however there was a musty smell in the main building. Our bedroom, in the annexe, was grim, cold and was very small and we needed extra clothing in bed. The dining room was very cold also and we couldn't enjoy our meal. We felt the food was overpriced.

Superb hotel. The building does look a little like the "Bates Motel in Psycho" but the rooms are extremely comfortable and furnished in old French style. The dinner was magnificent and the chef must be approaching a Michelin Star. Staff most friendly and helpful.

The area is a little run down but the centre of Noyon is very interesting.

We were a group of 7, we stayed at 5 hotels on our trip through France, some of the group voted this the best hotel for food which was fantastic and at 38 euro for a 4 course meal of that quality was fantastic value. We visited a local bar in the town and the locals confirmed that we must use the restaurant for our trip. The staff were extremely good and spoke excellent English with fantastic attention to detail and humor. The rooms on the floor near reception were spacious with excellent bathroom facilities. The town in the evening was mostly closed with little atmosphere.

The wine was a little expensive!

We had a fantastic large room with high ceilings, a fire place and a fab wet room. The room even had a piano! Excellent value for money.

Wir waren über die Qualität des Hotels überrascht. Das Essen war hervorragend. Jederzeit würde ich das Hotel weiterempfehlen.

Nous avons apprécié la gentillesse du personnel et la qualité du restaurant.

Le chauffage ne fonctionnait pas à l'arrivée mais tout est rentré dans l'ordre très vite.

Dans le cadre de notre nuit de noce, nous avons réservé une chambre. La décoration était parfaite. Le personnel de service a été très accueillant et sympathique également.

Nous sommes arrivés tard dans la nuit et il faisait un peu frais dans la chambre. Petits détails d'équipement : pas de chaussons fournis alors que la chambre est carrelées, pas de sèche cheveux non plus dans la chambre

La déco des chambres et les équipements, l'accueil et le service, la facilité pour se garer, et le service de repas froid en chambre, qui permet de faire face aux situations imprévues.

tout ! sans compter la gentillesse du personnel qui m'a dit qu'en principe ils n'acceptaient pas les chiens et ont fait une exception sans même me facturer un supplément !!! :)

La qualité de la chambre, les oreillers et le matelas. Le repas en soirée étape est de bon niveau.

L'armoire difficilement accessible car la penderie est "bloquée" par la colonne de la lampe et elle est inversée (rangement de face et non de profil)
