We had a very good meal at the restaurant with generous portions. The staff were all very friendly. The walls of the rooms were paper thin, and one could hear everything from next door rooms |

Excellent character property - an ideal bolt hole for a few days or as a stopover en route. Food very good and quite reasonably priced. Some of the 1st floor was very creaky which must have irritated other residents as we were leaving quite early. |

The character of the hotel was very good. The food was good. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We were warned that the restaurant service was poor. Everybody came to eat at 7.30pm to 8.00pm and the one person waiting at table could not cope. She should ensure tables for dinner are booked and times staggered, so she can serve all within, say 10 minutes of their arrival. By 'serve', I mean at least give them menus and a cocktail!! |

The exterior of the hotel, the gardens and the downstairs rooms were all very nice. The bedrooms had been very cheaply converted. The rooms were small and sparsely furnished. The shower tap came off in our hands and the door had to be lifted before you could shut it. Looked like it came from B & Q! The service at the restaurant was dreadful. One waitress tried to serve everyone and nip outside to do jobs at the hotel as well. Our one course meal took 2 hours!! Located well off the beaten track. Took 30 minutes from St Quentin along tiny lanes. Lucky we had Satnav! |

The hotel is in a very good location, and the prices are very reasonable. The service was very poor. At Dinner, I was given a menu, and no order was taken for over 30 minutes. I walked out. The same girl was running the restaurant and running reception. |
