Walking up the hill

Service was excellent. Gino & Valerie were most gracious and helpful hosts. Breakfast was excellent and good value. Very clean and comfortable.Locaton is great if you enjoy walking as we do otherwise you will need to plan transport up the hill

The room was a bit too small. Bathroom was very small and tight. Worth noting when catching the free bus from Requier station, catch it from the bus stop opposite the train station.

No parking arfea near the hotel. Breakfast is poor.

The best view of Nice you can get in a private hotel. The bus from downtown stops directly in front of the hotel, so easy to get around.The owners are also travelers and know how to make your stay in Nice most enjoyable. The food is all fresh and prepared by the owners. We took dinner at the hotel both nights and would do it again.

The staff is great. They gave me preciuos tips like the nearby city of Eze. Really helpful. The view is great, but worths nothing in the "no view" room.

The room is very small Stairs are narrow, very bad to carry luggage. The location is far from the city center, and I did not use public transport. I was told that it was not hard to use it. It is hard to park and to make an U-turn, the road is VERY steep, as the hotel is in the side of a little mountain.

A friend and I stayed at the hotel and just adored it. The rooms look and smell amazing, and the beds are deliciously comfortable. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and also knowledgeable about the local area. We followed their suggestions for food and had some of the most amazing food we have had on our trip. Some people might not like the walk up the hill but we found it perfect for creating an appetite (and for working off all the lovely food you can eat in the Old Town) - and there is also a bus that takes you into the centre as well.

The couple who ran the hotel were very charming and friendly, and very helpful in terms of directions to the city centre/public transport and suchlike. Although not actually needed when we arrived, they were happy to provide on site parking. The view from our room and especially from the corner of the restaurant area was stunning. The hotel and room was very clean and nothing was amiss.

It is a bit of a walk up a hill back to the hotel after an evening out! But although a criticism it is countered by the view when you get to it!

It was simply fabulous. The view from my room and the dining area was to die for. The owner/manager is a great cook and offers a 3 course dinner at extra cost, of course. The menu changes daily depending on fresh available produce, fish,etc.! Very helpful and friendly couple that runs the hotel,easy to talk to. There are some regular guests that return to the hotel every year. It's outside of Nice and up the hill en route to Beaulieu and Villefranche. Quite surroundings considering how noisy it is everywhere else in Nice. Love to come back here myself.

Everyhing was just perfect!

High up on a slope overlooking Nice so not in the centre but we were driving and didn't mind. Cute room and great staff, we loved it!

One of my favourite hotels of our month-long trip. The view was amazing, the room was reasonably spacious and came with a terrace. The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and spoke very good English. We didn't have a problem with parking, even though it was only street parking there was always a space.

To have dinner at the restaurant, you have to make a reservation by midday the previous day and there are very few food places in the area, none of which stay open late. But that was the only thing we didn't like about the hotel.

Good location, good staff

We booked this hotel as an overnight stop at the start of our holiday , the two positive points we found were the view over the city and Gino the manager , his professional manner and friendly service would make us return to this hotel. On a negative side the hotel is quite a distance from the city centre and would benefit from air conditioning.

Far away from town centre.

Nice place for several days, but not more. The view on Nice from the room and restaurant - that is the price of the hotel - I spended an evening sitting on the balcony with a bottle of Malibu looking at Nice and I was really happy. Tasty simple breakfast. Nice owners. No problems during our staying there (2 days). Very homely place.

Very small rooms. Strange "door" to the toilet - I could hear everything my girlfriend did in there, but in fact I don't think this is a problem for young couples. Very difficult to get to the center without a car. On foot - too long. By bus - it stopped not so often as it could. Anyway, we were on a car.

We had two rooms - nr. 1 and 9. Very different rooms even though the price was almost the same. Room nr. 1 had marvellous wiew, while nr. 9 had no wiew at all. The wiew from the breakfast-room was fantastic.

Staff at the hotel was friendly, helpful. Recommend excellent restaurants, tours, beach. Room no. 12 for four people was spacious, clean. Bathroom and separate toilet. We did not have any complications during your stay. View from the hotel is amazing.

Ways to get to the hotel is a few. I do not recommend use option stairs. Room No. 12 with a terrace overlooking the trees.

Beautiful view. Not far from center of town. Not too difficult to find.

Parking is a bit dangerous, but not a problem for those who are resourceful.

The hotel staff was very kind, very hospitable and helpful! The breakfast - dining room with panoramic view is really amazing, especially during night time. Rooms are furnished in a easy way but they are really comfortable!

If you haven't a car or a scooter It isn't comfortable to reach!

This is a beautyfull Hotel with Flair and a lots of Charme ! A spectacluar View over Nice, the Rooms are simple, very clean with good Mattresses and every Room has a Terrace or Balkony. Service is absolutely perfect, the Owners are very gentle, helpfull and kind. Breakfast is good and the Dinner in the Restaurant with a breathtaking View over Nice is very good, tastefully with herbs and spices togehter with a good assortement of Wines makes a Evening on this Places so unique and highly recommended! Parking is direct in Front of the Hotel, public Parking. One Garage Place is available but to book very early. To walk in the City you need appr. 20-30 min to the Port. There holds a Bus direct in Front of the Hotel and drive every 30 min. down an up.

Small hotel and rooms very "rustic" but clean and tidy. The views from the breakfast room were magnificent. We loved it. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Provided us with maps of the city and where to go etc. Good English spoken. Parking could be an issue although secure parking was offered at €10 per night. A bit much for a motorbike so parked outside the hotel. 2 Buses an hour into the city and a good tram service at the bottom of the hill if you want to leave your transport behind. There is a "serious" hill to negotiate if you take the tram option!!! The last bus back to the hotel is 7.50pm... then your only option is the tram (and the walk up the hill)

The location is a bit far out from the city centre and no local facilities.. i,e restaurant, shops etc.

Absolutely charming homely hotel I would have never expected in Nice! Outstanding view from on the bay from the hills. Would definetely come again next time in Nice.

Rather expensive by taxi (40 euros) from the airport. Though it's just a 10 min drive.

Excellent location, perched on the side of a hill overlooking Nice. A last minute invite to the Monaco Grand Prix meant that I thought my choice of accomodation would be limited and expensive. This was a little gem of a place and excellent value for money.
