Overall I would we would stay in this hotel again as it is only 10 minutes from the ferry port
Accessibility to the port
No-one on duty for breakfast
Located in the town centre with its own restaurant and close to the ferryport
No private parking (but plenty of public parking available close bye) this could be a problem in high season
Arrived but hotel all locked up. Went to shop and they called the manager to let me in. Restaurant was closed so did not get dinner or breakfast. Dismal service. Give it a miss.
Breakfast should have been at 8.00am but dining room was shut and locked and no staff available. We had to leave with out breakfast to catch our ferry
I had car problems and the manager and his partner went out of their way to help me which meant a great deal as a female lone traveler. The decor was a little tired but they were in the midst of decorating so all being dealt with. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but look forward to eating there another time.
Staffwere very warm and friendly, food and loads of hot water for a bath every night ,.
i agree about the lift .After a back op recently i am using a stick . i managed ok as we were on first floor.we will stay again in january and ask for same room ,
Handy for the ferry port, rooms were rather oldfashioned but adequate. Bath room was good. the bedroom was affected by noise from the street.
No booking confirmation was present. Luckily I took a copy of my reservation. The credit card machine had broken so only cash was acceptable.
Room was simple but spacious with a comfortable bed and providing all that was needed for a night prior taking an early ferry. Located on top floor, it offered a view of the sea. Must be willing to climb stairs though as there was no lift.
Hot showers, central and comfortable beds. En suite bathroom was clean and of good size
A little pokey to get to the room, but all was good! After initial feeling of being a little disappointed the good aspects become more obvious
The location, the food the staff, the price. Superb dinner could not be better! Staff sofriendly.
The stairs and basic room could do with a kettle! But for the price excellent. 55 euros for two you cant complain!
Nice, large, clean room. Decent shower/bath. Good wifi connection. Very close to seafront and town. Excellent food.
Parking is a short walk away, and fills up quickly, so be prepared to hunt around a bit
Good central location
Good bed in plain room.
Breakfast ordered for 08.00.no staff in hotel at that time. We went out for breakfast at 08.30 when No one had arrived !
couldn't gain access till late p.m. very much in need of TLC. no one around for payment when we tried to leave at 8. in the morning to catch ferry!
Lack of parking and a bit smelly due to fish rest beneath.
the stairway was very worn and tatty looking
Good breakfast and dinner. Room was reasonably clean. Just about OK for a quick o/n sleep.
The small bedroom was desperately in need of a revamp: bed, mattress, pillows, blankets needed replacing, all worn, old, and not very comfortable. Furnishings generally worn.
No tea or coffee making facility in bedroom. Stair carpet worn and dirty. Nobody around to take check out at 0730. Expensive for what it was
The room was very clean, we have stayed here twice before catching the ferry home and would stay again. Excellent location, right in the middle of the town. The restaurant looked lovely but not really the place for a 4 year old little boy!
Discrete, secure, ultra clean, comfortable, perfect location, very good food and good quality wines. Reasonable. I ate in the restaurant three days in a row it was so good. Staying there was a fairly anonymous experience - no overpowering hosts. I liked that. I really can't wait to go back.
It's a bit messy walking through the restaurant to check-in. It would be better if there was a bell on the back entrance to avoid diners and sleepers spoiling the restaurant/hotel atmosphere.
Its location It's a small and characterful hotel Free parking nearby-not a problem Home made jam with breakfast Good selection of croissants and bread. 24hr access and no problem checking in after advertised time.
Steep, narrow stairs were a bit difficult with cases. Extra charge for breakfast
Access via a side door. Noisy neighbours.
Dinner was pretty good including service
Check-in facilities primitive.Noone about at 8am for checkout, had to wait with another couple. Breakfast indicated in room info as from 7.30, not so in fact. It would not have been ready until well after 8 - too late for us. Room pretty basic.
