we have stayed twice bebore so we can find it easily , know there is a good amount of parking outside and some good restaurants nearby

no internet connection think it was just that evening and also the following morningbut was inconvienient

Very nice staff, friendly and eager to help Rooms are completely OK, even though without any particular charm. The room was perfectly clean.

Location and view of Christmas Lights Parking was easier and cheaper than described.

Very friendly and functional hotel at the heart of the WW1 Battlefields for which it is an ideal base.

Very friendly and accommodating staff who are happy to advise on where to go and how to get there. It's very handy for the station where if you do want a change of scenery, it is possible to take any of the frequent trains to Paris - Very quick by tgv, or Lille. Parking is on the street and I didn't see one traffic warden, so no problems there. My wife and I have been regular guests of the Moderne for twenty years now and it is always our last night in France before returning home. After visiting Arras market on Saturday morning, a not to be missed place to go.

Breakfast is a bit expensive for what it is, but the fresh selection of breads and various preserves and honey together with sliced ham and cheese make up for that.

easily found ( without the aid of sat nav.) there was parking for our motor cycle outside which was visible from our window

as with a lot of French hotels we have stayed in there is no screen or shower curtain over the bath.

The central location, nice room at a fair price. Convenient parking.

There is not much storage for a longer stay - but fine for an overnight stop which is what we did.

good position next to the rail station and town square. Very dog friendly.

Lack of restaurant and no help from the staff with regard to parking

A very convenient one-night stay-over on our trip from the uk to Argelès sur Mer. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was spacious, clean and quiet, and the breakfast was ample. The hotel is well situated in Arras and is close to L'Eurostar restaurant that serves excellent, well-priced meals. We have stayed in the Moderne on a number of occasions over the years and have always been more than happy with our visit. We recommend it unreservedly.

Spacious, comfortable room with wide-opening windows; big bathroom.

The corridor outside the bedroom was very dark - a light switch close to the bedroom door would have been helpful. Breakfast was good so long as you were early - things ran out if you arrived 30 mins before the end of service.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was adequate and extremely clean. We expected that noise would be a problem as we were next to the train station but it was not a concern. Breakfast was good and the cost was 9e. We were a short walking distance to restaurants and Grand Place.

Funny how a name can be miss leading !

The staff are excellent! Parking outside for just 4 Euros a day. Free map. Great directions. Exceptionally comfy beds. Great shower and bathroom! Noise proof! Warm! Clean! Fresh! Modern! Safe! Fantastic!

Breakfast was 9 Euros, which is extraordinarily expensive. But we had the option to decline so that's fine. Also, don't foget to add your tax to the total price seperately. Not quite as cheap as initially thought, but still great value. That is Booking.coms fault, not the hotel.

Our room on the fourth floor was large and full of light with good facilities. It was very clean and the hotel is very convenient to the centre of town with everything in walking distance. Despite being in a busy square and opposite the railway station, noise was not a factor. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Very convenient for the railway station. The hotel has a friendly, comfortable atmosphere and it was lovely to be welcomed much earlier than check-in time after a flight from Australia and train from CDG to Arras. Much nicer than a standard "chain" hotel room.

Très bon hôtel, très bien situé, calme, propre, prix abordable. Personnel très agréable.

Le côté ancien de l'établissement,en concordance avec cette région du nord.Un petit voyage dans le temps,avec une atmosphère non stéréotypé,à l'opposé des hôtels sans charme.

La situation à côté de la gare

La déco générale de l'hôtel. Vieillissant. On sent dès l'entrée qu'aucun investissement n'a été fait depuis plusieurs années et ça se confirme jusquà la chambre. La literie est toutefois confortable mais pour le prix, la prestation n'est pas au niveau.
