An excellent setting in a very pleasant part of the Loire area. Although we had requested and had been allocated a non-smoking room, the room below was not non-smoking and the smell filled our room whenever the window was open. |

Stunning location; bedrooms appear to have been made smaller since our last visit, at least on the Loire side. Pity the restaurant, occupying a prime position in the hotel, does only breakfast. Our bedroom (river side) was too small; other prine space seemed to be being used for commercial/business purposes |

The Manager and staff acknowledged our problem, refunded us the one night they had us booked in for, and helped us find alternative accommodation in Saumur. Our booking was for 2 nights, they only had us booked in for one & could not acommodate us for 2. Our room was tiny, overlooking a street and depressing. We chose the hotel so we could have an evening meal there, they do not have a resturant in the evening. |

Great view of the Chateaux if you book the right room. Staff very helpfull, breakfast is expensive but comprehensive and reflects the going rate for hotels of this type in the area. No Restaurant, have stayed in this hotel before and the the Accor site indicated that it still had a restaurant. This is a shame as the view from the dining room must be the best in town. There are some Bar's & Cafe's a short walk accross the bridge in town. |

View from our room was overlooking the river and the chateau, it was lovely. The bed was clean and comfy and the room big enough. There were enough surfaces to put all our things, something I'm always greatful for and the tea and coffee is a big plus especially when you havea baby waking you up through then night like we did. Great location. Friendly staff. We didn't eat breakfast there so I can't comment! Other than the bed sheets the maid service was not at all impressive. The cups were cleaned and put back but the tea and coffee was not replenished. We used the complimentary soap and left it by the sink to wash our hands (we had our 2 mth old baby with us) the maid removed it and did not leave us another, common sense please! We used a plastic beaker to hold our toothbrushes and the maid removed them from the beaker and left them lying on the shelf, putting the beaker away. The sign on the mirror said if you want your towel replacing put it on the floor otherwise leave it where it is to re-use. We did this and it still got replaced, not that we minded except I thought the hotel was trying to save on water... ? Milk in room horrid... |

Position of hotel on the banks of the Loire; beautiful views across to the Chateau and no road noise. Easy and picturesque 5-10 minute stroll along the riverbank, across the bridge to the centre of town. Very easy access to hotel by car. Had booked secure parking but didn't use it because of the large free hotel car park in the next road. Expensive breakfast €14 and €8 for croissant & coffee - we used local boulangerie instead. However, worse than this was the fact that the tea/coffee in room consisted of only two small tubs of milk which meant one cup of tea or coffee and you had to pay for additional milk/tea/coffee at €1 per item. We therefore bought a tin of cappucino powder in the supermarket and used this instead. |

Where it was situated was excellent for our trip this time, the food was good and there were resturants over the bridge to give a walk in the evening. If you were to use the main car park in the summer there may be a worry about security. Although there is limited secure parking if you book early enough. |
