As beautiful as the property is, we feel the reviews we read on Bookings.com were not entirely reflective of possible experiences. Be aware that the rooms (at least ours) do not have WiFi. It is only available in the public areas. Car is essential as nothing is close enough to walk to. Be prepared for Niki to sit at the head of the breakfast table every morning. That was something we had not experienced at other B&Bs before. Communication was a bit of a challenge with our very limited French skills, but we made due. We got the feeling Niki would have preferred French speakers. Finally, while we booked and paid for a space to accommodate 4 people (listed as the "Family Room" in Bookings.com), we were given a room with one queen bed. It appeared to be the smallest room she offered. The space was much smaller than we expected based on the Bookings.com description and could definitely not have held 4 people. We did not complain because we were booked for 4 nights and did not want to make our stay uncomfortable.
This is a beautiful piece of property. It was created with an obvious eye for detail. Mdm. Niki spared no expense in creating a peaceful oasis and her personal touches are evident. There is wonderful modern art in every space, garden and grounds included. The house and grounds are exceptional. Niki offered a terrific French style breakfast with many homemade jams and her own homemade yogurt along with cheeses, meats, fruits, breads, and pastries.
