Score from 565 reviews Very good
The location of this hotel is excellent it is only a very short walk from the tube station and is surround by shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Despite its location the hotel is quiet and we had 3 very good nights sleep there. The staff were very helpful in helping us book reataurants etc.
The one negative was the size of the room itself; there was not much space around the amazing big bed but then again on a city break who needs a large hotel room when there is all of Paris to explore!
Well, the hotel manages to have a few great staff, but the night French guy and the receptionists are a joke. You can't count on them. And don't count on free wifi. Because the hotel doesn't really offer it... A huge headache! Also, if you want a room that you can breath, with minimum space for you and your luggage... This hotel is not for you! The hotel was a cubicle and everything was old and in need of major renovation. I really don't recommend you to stay here if you want to have a pleasant time while in Paris.
Such an easy walk to so many different places. Many good restaurants nearby.
We were charged a different amount than booking.com had stated i.e. higher of course. Unsure why but having just arrived in Paris we were unsure of euros compared to dollars. Our fault! Barely space in our room for our second suitcase.
Really nice rooms, small put typically Parisian so perfect! Excellent staff and service and ideal location. Will definitely come back and stay again.
Would have been great if there were coffee/tea facilities in the room as an added extra, but other than that, no complaints at all.
Location was amazing!! Walked to Notre Dame and the O'dorsay Museum. Great shopping and dining around the hotel too! The staff was amazing and so helpful! Great sitting area and lounge area in the lobby.
Room was quite small, but that's not usual for Europe so we weren't surprised - but good to know in advance. We had to change rooms halfway through our stay because the power went out to our room. The staff was apologetic and moved all our belongings for us - but our replacement room was on the first floor rather than the fifth.
great location, few steps from Boulevard St.Germain and Odeon Metro St.
Small rooms, noisy location
The room I had is even for a three star hotel very smal, but for a four star it is far away from beeing OK.
Louis 2, on the left bank, could hardly be better located for visiting key locations in Paris. Also I was ill near the end of our stay and the staff were very helpful - when we needed it most.
Location, decor, helpful staff
Only thing would be lack of tea and coffee making facilities in rooms
Staff Location charm
Little loud small rooms
Warm welcome, friendly and efficient staff who spoke good English, lovely room, good breakfast.
Dimension and valie for money
Very professional and friendly staff with an amazing manager Louis. Very clean rooms. Fast WiFi, 2 min walking distance from metro station and walking distance to many attractions. We are looking forward to visit the hotel again.
There was nothing to complain about.
Not enough space around the bed to walk, ie the rooms are extremely small.
Getting a better room when we complained. Good breakfast. Pleasant and helpful staff. Immediate repair of a shower tube connection. Attractive furnishing of public space. Good A/C (necessary because open windows would admit too much noise from the street).
Getting a pokey little room to start with, in which you could hardly turn (these are the rooms ending with a 1). The mattress on one side of the bed in the second room was too soft. Being charged for a cup of tea in spite of absence of coffee/tea equipment in the room.
Location Cleanliness Charm
Size of room
staff were very friendly and relaxed , room was perfectly turned out and the location was perfect . Wonderful experience . I'd go back
The location was great. The room was really clean and modern, although it was small.
Bedroom was too small. I mean, REALLY small.
Very bad service upon arrival. The unfriendly receptionist (lady) wanted us to pay the full amount + Euro 100 extra on arrival, although she had our creditcard details. She forgot to return my ID and after asking later that night she found it back under the keyboard. The smallest room we have ever encountered in Paris. We know that hotelrooms in Paris are always very small but this was the worse! We couldn't move at all. Bathroom looked very poor. Thin, plastic curtains to cover the windows with holes in it. In the room the curtains as well as the bedspread had stains! Absolutely no 4-stars!!
rooms are small, but you don't come to Paris to be in your room; staff at the reception is very helpfull, wi-fi is working, there is lots of restaurants and bars in the viciniti of the hotel; metro and couple of bus lines are also available...
Everything, It may not be big enough for the overweight and raucous-- I like that .
The possibility that too many who do not appreciate the fine points of Paris will descend on this superb little gem of a hotel.
The location was great. Room had lots of interesting features. Good firm bed. Felt more homely than most soulless, chain hotels.
The room was small, but this is a minor gripe
too small room size
Poor value for money small rooms
Receiption staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. The hotel was beautiful and well located. The room was very comfortable.
A bit pricey.
