The location was fairly central with easy access to Le Louvre and Opera area. One of the main reasons for our visit was to have dinner at Le Grand Colbert restuarant which is only a short walk from the hotel. The hotel was nice enough but the room was very small and basic, which was okay as we weren't in the room often apart from sleeping and changing. To be fair, the room had all we needed, was quite pretty and had a decent shower. I've gave the cleanlieness off the room a poor rating. I don't do this without good and justifiable reasons. The hotel itself was tidy, the room was tidy and cleaned each day. However, on both days I woke up covered in bites, thats just not acceptable under any circumstances. I currently have red itchy swollen blotches on my face, back and on my arms. Just not what I would expect from what seemed like quite a nice small boutique hotel.

Excellent location, nice hotel staff and good pricing. Subway is under the hotel, so sometimes you feel the subway when you lay in bed.

Perfect location, friendly and helpful staff. Value for money. A bottle of wine as a present! Rooms are too small! Breakfast (€10) was to be paid separately.

The location is excellent as it is close to The Louvre and the Metro. Staff were very friendly and helpful in every aspect. Bed could have been more confortable. It showed its age and a lack of electrical outlets.

A gentleman at reception was ever so kind to us. My husband has a terminal cancer and now disabled, but we did not inform that in advance. We arrived hotel 2 hours earlier than check in time, but they prepared a room immediately when he saw my husband without asking anything. We lost print out ticket of Eurostar, but managed to print it at the hotel with no charge! I think this hotel is suitable for European/British to spend a city break as everything is very compact, but well organized and decorated. You only need to bring a toothbrush and toothpaste as everything is there! There are enough tea bags and coffee and a bottle of wine as well! I would like to say thank you to all staff at the hotel to let us have a great weekend and will definitely stay again if my husband is well enough to travel to Paris.

Location was very good. The staff was nice and helpful. Free wifi is always a plus. Expensive breakfast. Small rooms, although that didn't bother too much in practice.

The staff were very helpful, particularly Octavio, the Day Manager. The Hotel is in an excellent location, is very well cared for by staff. Air conditioning was very good and much needed in Paris which was very hot over the weekend!

The hotel was very accomidating. One staff member in particular was very nice, friendly, told us where to eat for nice places, and where to go to have fun. I do not remember his name but he was bald and whore glasses. His english was very good which was great because we did not know french :) There was one thing we did not like another the hotel. One staff member, I do not know his name either, but he was working at night on Feburary 31st 2012. I asked him to call us a cab, and being an American, we did not know that if there is a cab called that the meter starts before the cab gets to the hotel. We got into the cab with the meter started at 8 euros. I went back inside the hotel to ask why the metered had started and the man (who knew little english) was yelling and saying I should have known the metered started and was made to pay for the cab. He was extremely rude and made the last few hours in Paris stressful.

Just beside the louvre museum, not a rough area it was lovely and safe at night! Small rooms but as to be expected but the whole hotel was spotless Wouldn't have minded getting a breakfast included for that rice we paid!

“Balmoral has a nice location. Staff is very friendly. The room was small but very clean, it was quiet. Metro and RER station is 1 min from hotel. We did not use breakfasts in the hotel, but the was a mini-market opposite the hotel, and the supermarket 5 min away. Actually it is the place that I would recommend.” Maria, Moscow |
