If anyone is debating staying here don't, it's like staying in a hostel, in a disgusting state, on arrival our toilet was blocked with a horrible smell. 3 of us were then moved to a double bed as that was all they had.. Never again!!
Not so far from station
No doubts...it has been my worst experience in a hotel/hostel ever!!! Going straight to the point, I was "eaten" by some kind of insects that left me back, my neck, my face, arms chest full of big red spots...it happened during the night as I saw myself the following morning...inmediately checked the sheets and found "a few" tiny insects which I think are flees...DISGUSTING!!!!! The worst part was when I told the receptionist, he didn't seem to be surprised!!!!! ...Nor intended to do anything...so I asked for my money back at least and all he did was offer me a hotel card (?) to contact the manager after his holidays!!! After 15mins of heated discussion he called the manager and gave me the money back...however I spend 6 days of my holidays covered avoiding the sun in hot and sunny days...with sort of burning skin! *My boyfriend and I picked this hotel just for its price (55€ / night)...bad thing. Anyway, I have stayed in other budget places even cheaper and nothing has happened. First of all the entrance is dirty and smelly...the receptionist is the same person who attends the next-door bar and they speak just french...just a few words in english. The room was in the second floor, wooden + straight + noisy + dirty stairs...room number at the door was written in pencil (?). Room didn't seem so clean and was more than small! The toilet faces the balcony...what means you can be seen from outside even when closing window and curtains not long enough. There was lot of dirty hair in the shower and the water remained still touching my ankles until my boyfriend cleaned it...disgusting.
I liked the room.it was clean.
I didn't like the reception.at first view I wanted to change the hotel, but when I saw the room I was ok.
Absolutely nothing. Don't stay here!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. The bathroom/toilet was a small 2 feet by 3.5 feet block which could hardly accommodate the comode & the bathing area. I have no words to describe how filthy it is. 2. The room is extremely small & very dirty. 3. The wooden floors are broken at places. 4. The outside wall had holes. Don't think it was a concrete wall. 5. The bed made noise when you move. It seemed that the bed would break apart anytime if we move. 6. The area was also not good. This list is endless. Please don't stay here.
The hotel was pretty clean, not the best looking staircase but as soon as we got in the room I was shocked as to how beautiful the room was. It's a bit small but big enough for 2 people. Staff were extremely helpful and very chatty too. Very impressed with what I paid for, right next to Voltaire station which was handy.
There was a leak downstairs in the bar and on 3 occasions we never had water for 30 minutes. Couldn't fault anything else though :)
Nothing was good with this hotel
Terrible, not clean at all. Staff was weird, not friendly, and sleeping in the reception. I think they actually staying in the reception. Yes it is cheap but I am pretty sure that you can find much much better place to stay with paying a bit more. Nothing worth to stay here!
Small room and poor quality.
Everythings is very bad. The room and all hotel like a construction hause. Dirty, small, sting. Nobody can't sleeping here. Toilet is very small and kaputt. Ps. :never comeback
i like that the hotel is open 24hr and the staff were very helpful and the rooms is 5stars level
The location was great, not touristy at all. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room is small but who stays indoors in Paris anyway! It's hard to beat for the price.
My only complaint was that the room was not the cleanest. If your not a stickler for cleanliness though, you'll be just fine.
Staff was responsive.
The room was not suitable to be rented. The window did not close. Even if it had closed there was a hole in one of the panes. The hotel is being refurbished and the furniture was new -albeit very bad quality- but the windows had not been changed yet. The mattress was rock hard. They were working in the bathroom next door and from our room we could hear conversations -held in a normal tone- clearly enough to understand every word. A friend of us stayed in the triple room below us with her two girls. That room was not refurbished, so the furniture was in dire condition. They had a table but the legs were loose, so they had to prop it up against the wardrobe to prevent it from coming apart. Every time we used our shower or washbasin they would have water coming up from the drain into their washbasin.
- price very affordable
- great difficulty to find a parking nearby in the streets - 3rd floor room with no lift
There were bed bugs in our room!
tiny room, difficult to find the location, room window can not close, on the 2nd floor of a bar, unfriendly counter staff insisting pay by cash.
The older monsieur was very friendly and helpful. They weren't able to get rid of the bedbugs, but gave us some money back.
The rooms were a bit dirty, the worst thing were the bedbugs. Check the sheets for little black spots (excretion), thats a clear sign for bedbugs. If you find this ask for a different room. They "cleaned" mine, but 2 nights later the bugs were back.
