roof room was good
furniture is too old
This was the last weekend before the three year renovation so an historic time! I will go back when it is redone!
The bed was comfortable, the bathrooms were clean.
The hotel is very tired looking. The desk chair was uncomfortable, the hallways, room carpet and over all ambiance is of an aging, not well maintained hotel. The bellman dropped my husband's bags on checking in, in order to greet other hotel staff.
Location, staff and value
Wi-fi was very poor.
Excellent location. The staff was very helpful.
The wifi was slow.
Beautiful hotel in an excellent location
Location Staff Good mattress
The bathroom was really old & dirty and not worth a 4 star hotel. Old fashioned room. Room was not ready. Had to come back 2 times.
Reception excellent and very discreet room staff (we never saw them!) It was my birthday - was greeted with congratulations by reception and champagne with bonbons delivered to room - delicious and most welcome after journey! A big thankyou for that - major plus points. Baggage (bell hops) very efficient. Concierge helpful. Couldn't comment on food - we never managed to eat there alas.
Rather dark in lounge area - subdued lighting yes - able to read maps, No!
Location and staff were very nice.
There were no English channel TV, ie CNN or other news. Not every guest speaks French.
great location, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable place to spent time away from home
i asked about room with view but they were not able to accommodate- although during booking it was a possibility with the room i have ordered
- high professional "old school" stuff! - wonderful old chick interior at hall and restaurant - great location
- small room with poor design
- Service provided by staff - Cleanliness of the room.
The prices of food & wine in the Restaurant. Very expensive for the quality of beverages.
Stay here before a few years ago. Great location, a few minutes walk from Rue des Cannettes (great restaurants), not too touristy. Comfortable rooms, great shower. Didn't try breakfast but there are cafes nearby. This is where we will stay on our next trip to Paris.
No complaints at all!
the situation. the room are big... the lobby nice, it has a certain charm....an Art Deco setting ...at night the music Jazzy in the lobby is very nice...
you enter and you go out ,from this hotel nobody welcome you!...
Beautiful building, excellent location, amazing cocktail bar
The classic style . The atmosphere of an iconic Parisian hotel . The piano bar in the evening . The vicinity to st Germain des pres
Spacious rooms and bathroom, staff vet helpful.
The thing which really impressed me was the friendliness of the staff. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. If they were not closing for renovations, I would definitely stay there again.
The one thing that I did not like was that they are going to renovate the hotel. It is charming and the staff delightful. I hope that when they are done that they will be able to retain that feel.
Staff at reception were as good as you could ever hope for. A beautiful old but tired hotel in a great location. Good sized rooms. Would happily recommend to friends and would stay again. This hotel will soon close for a major lengthy renovation to become a 5 Star. Could become one of the best in Paris.
Took too long for our bags to arrive when checking out. They said it was an elevator problem. The courtyard view is nothing to look at.
The Location is great, direct to Metro line.
But the details are not acceptable for a luxury hotel. Child's bed was not cleaned, room Service slow or not existing, endless discussions on bill. Some rooms nice, but others very aged...
Old, crumbly and expensive hotel with lousy service and terrible wifi. Expensive and bad breakfast and extremely expensive and bad food even if you eat at their brasserie. Very disappointing.
The location was fantastic & the staff was very courteous.
I would expect a hotel of that standard would have someone helping with the bags when I arrived. But instead I had to drag my large suitcase up the front stairs myself. Also the room was a little run down with dated carpet, cheap plastic shower rod, unfinished bathroom ceiling.
Location location! Next to Bon marche, the premium department store, and the food store. Also the prime branding boutiques plus small local furniture stores are close by.
It's a hotel with history, u cannot expect its new and fancy, but it's good for the money.
I have stayed in a suite and executive suite. These rooms are beautiful with balconies and views. The executive suite is great value. The courtyard double is a bit claustrophobic. The concierge service is excellent and the reception staff helpful and friendly. Great location for restaurants and shopping and easy walk to Louvre and Notre Dame.
The food in the brasserie was over cooked and tasteless. Eat at one of the many superb restaurants nearby. Concierge will help.
Location. Kindness. Beauty.
Room and bath in poor conditions
