The maison is in a quiet town that has interesting history and lovely hiking trails and easy access to other small historic hamlets. There are four rooms and a small efficiency cottage. The room was very clean, quiet and had efficient WiFi. The bathroom was exceptionally modern and always clean. The room and bathroom were swept and beds were made up every day. The price is very reasonable compared to what we would have to pay in the USA.
The host are a lovely young couple with a child. They were very helpful and informative of directing us to lovely spots in the country side such as Les Rennes Chateaux and Les Bains du Rennes. This is there first time in this business.

It’s difficult to express in words how special of an experience staying at the House of Nostradamus is. From the moment you walk in, the energy is amazing, so inviting and full of love. Richard is equally special- he is so knowledgeable on Nostradamus and the area surrounding Alet Les Bains. Despite our late arrival, Richard cooked us a delicious dinner of locals recipes and shared stories of Nostradamus and the magical land. History buffs and people on spiritual journeys will not be disappointed. My friend and I stayed for two nights. Both rooms are incredibly comfortable, the house full of museum artifacts and paintings. Waking up in the ancient town center under the soft linens and canopy bed frame, opened something deep inside of me and I have not been the same. I’ve been to plenty of sacred places, the House of Nostradamus is a powerful portal for those who are ready to transcend into a higher version of themselves. Thank you, Richard for your gracious hospitality!

Excellent location right in front of the market. There is a weekly market on Fridays when the town comes alive. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable and the room spacious. Great tub/shower.

Beautiful chateau stay. Our room had a lovely view of the River area. The pool was immaculately clean and when you lay on the lounger, the sound of the River in the back is very relaxing.
The restaurant is very good - we had dinner there and although expensive, was great quality for the price and was definately memorable in the courtyard.
La Maison de la Riviere B&B is located in Espéraza, opposite the Aude River. A continental breakfast is served every morning, and free WiFi access is available in the rooms.
