Maison Sans Frontiere

The place was clean and everything worked as expected. Location is good, with 20 minutes walk to the town centre or the Midi canal, and a little more to the castle. Our car was left in the street in front of the house, which we were assured was safe.

Some people (including ourselves)prefer simple, clean hotels with little or no interaction with the staff. Others (obviously, judging by the good ratings this hotel has achieved) prefer to become part of another person's household and family - and this is what happens here. From the moment you enter the place and get the smell and atmosphere of the place you are part of the family; five minutes later you know that the owners became grandparents recently, and our bedroom had a lot of family stuff, including pictures of the children. Obviously, we did not like this hotel at all, and can not recommend it to like-minded travellers. Also (as others have commented), the towels have a funny smell, which we did not like at all. Perhaps a different washing powder should be used? The price was also considerably higher than we thought it should have been for what it offered.

Our host went out of their way to accommodate our every need.

After traveling around France for a few weeks, this hotel gave us relief from the another hotel room malaise that begins to set in. We stayed in the African decorated room which tuned us in to the most interesting lives of the owners who have done good work around the world. The owners are kind and helpful and the breakfast was a great way to begin another day of travel.

The owner is very friendly, the bed is very comfortable, the room and the bathroom are comfortable and clean. the wifi is free. the breakfast is delicious.

A place not to be forgotten: a warm welcome, hosts with a special personality, extraordinary design in the rooms (The Indian and African rooms), a distance of just a few minutes drive from the old town. Breakfast is served in a room brightly colored decorated (including the Serving dishes), compatible with the host personality.

Everything was great! Hotel owners are very kind & hospital, they met us at the train station and gave us good advices about visiting Carcassonne.

Good Price for the location, very friendly owners who picked/dropped us off at nearby airport which was so helpful. Nice clean room. Enjoyed the stay there, and would recomend. Merci!

Hotel is very good and very beautiful, rooms are very interesting. Hotel es muy bien, las habitaciónes son muy bonitas y desiguales. Очень хороший отель, такие красивые и необычные комнаты.

Marlene, the owner of this B&B was most helpful in securing additional accomodation for us when they were booked. I believe they have two rooms available in their family residence. Our room was spacious, quiet and air conditioned. Marlene speaks excellent english. Her husband even gave us a lift to the train station.

уютный, небольшой, семейный отельчик. хозяин и жена очень приветливые и общительные, сами встерчают гостей, общаются, сервируют завтрак. все комнаты тематические. мы жили в комнате в стиле шри-ланки. все тихо и по-домашнему. на завтрак джемы и конфитюры домашнего приготовления =) очень мило

в комнате не было телевизора. кое-где пыльно. фотографии детей хозяев в комнатах, конечно, мило, но как-то не комфортно спать, когда на тебя смотрят незнакомые люди =)

La estancia es familiar, sin ruidos,en calle tranquila,la habitación amplia pero con el baño al lado de la habitación aunque no es compartido..El desayuno correcto,al estilo francés.Bien para pasar una noche.La relación calidad-precio es buena. La situación:está cerca de la zona nueva del pueblo y a 20 minutos de la zona histórica-medieval.

El baño me hubiese gustado que estuviera dentro de la habitación.

Los duenos un matrimonio muy amable. Nos ibamos muy temprano y se levantaron para prepararnos el desayuno y nos llevaron a la estacion de tren.-

En Michel i la Marlene són fantàstics!! Les habitacions fantàstiques.

Los dueños de la casa Marlene y Michel son muy amables y aunque no hablan español intentan entenderte, de hecho no tuvimos ningún problema. La ubicación ya que está muy cerca de la Cité de Carcasonne. Muy buenas las mermeladas caseras que hacen.

O quarto e banheiro eram limpos, porem a roupa de cama e as toalhas não cheiravam bem.

Foi a pior experiência de "hotel" da minha vida, o dono, que nos recebeu, estava visivelmente embriagado, e cheirava mal, dentro da recepção, que também é o local onde se toma café, o dono cria um cachorro "labrador", que vem cheirar a gente na chegada, o banheiro fica fora do quarto, e é separado do corredor por uma cortininha, que também fede. A decoração que depois deste pesadelo, era o mínimo a se importar não combinava nada com nada, cada parede é de uma cor e os adereços são no mínimo estranhos. Definitivamente para quem procura organização e limpeza, aconselho procurar outro lugar.

Sehr nette und angenehme Unterkunft. Liegt ideal zwischen Bahnhof und Cité. Sehr sauber, comfortabel und familiär. Großzügige Zimmer, toll eingerichtetes Bad, gutes WLAN, gute Air-Con. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Maison agréable et confortable (studio avec clim), hôtes extrêmement accueillants. La maison se situe tout près de la gare et du centre, et à environ 30mn à pied de la Cité.

家庭宾馆，主人友善。白人夫妇收养一位非洲女孩，有善心。提供免费早餐。

门面很小，不容易找到。

Accueil très sympathique et chaleureux. Fourniture du plan de la ville de Carcasonne et conseils pour se rendre à la cité fortifiée.

Замечательный маленький домашний отель, уютный, очень красиво оформленные комнаты и ванные комнаты, хозяева – восхитительные люди, расположение идеальное для посещения Каркассона, тихое место, под окнами птичка поет, в доме живет добрейшая собака, чувствуешь себя там – дома или в гостях у друзей, хозяева помогают во всем, очень приветливые, было действительно жалко уезжать, в этом отеле приятно остановиться просто чтобы отдохнуть. Буду всем друзьям советовать, если поедут в Каркассон, пребывание в таком отеле добавляет особую прелесть путешествию.

部屋が少し匂い、湿っぽかった。朝食の手作りジャムが美味しかった。

la gentillesse des proprietaires

Accueil chaleureux par des propriétaires sympathiques, aussi serviables que discrets. Maison originale avec décoration exotique et colorée. Chambre spacieuse et confortable, salle de bain moderne et bien équipée, le tout décoré avec goût et personnalité. Petit déjeuner délicieux et complet, avec pain et croissants au beurre bien frais, et des confitures maison qui sont un vrai régal. L'établissement est 5mn du centre ville et de la zone piétone et commerçante, et à courte distance de la Cité de Carcassonne. Restaurants variés à quelques minutes, cinéma à 100m. À environs 200m de la gare.

Nous avions réservé en sachant qu'il n'y avait pas de télévision dans la chambre, et nous pensions nous en passer facilement, entre les visites, les ballades et les sorties... Malheureusement,on a eu droit à un temps de chien pendant presque tout le séjour, je dois avouer que la télé nous a énormément manqué. Ce n'est pas un reproche à l'établissement en lui même, car nous étions informés et tout le reste était très bien, mais en fait c'est bien un point négatif car à la question "est-ce que je réserverai à nouveau dans cette maison d'hôtes ?", il se peut que la réponse soit non, et c'est dommage que ce soit seulement à cause de la télévision et simplement pour avoir peur de trouver le temps long.

Eine sehr persönliche preisgünstige Unterkunft. Die Lage zum historischen Teil von Carcassone war optimal. Auto konnte in der kleinen Seitenstrasse gegenüber abgestellt werden. Die Gastgeber waren stets für ein Gespräch bereit und shr hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Eigentlich gibt es zur Unterkunft nichts Negatives zu sagen, ausser dass das Haus nicht ganz einfach zu finden ist, wenn man mit dem Auto anreist (alles Einbahnstrassen!).
