Maison Rouge4, rue des Francs Bourgeois, 67000 Strasbourg (Show map) Very good, Score from 907 reviews“Location, attentiveness of friendly reception staff and overall good value for money as a 3-star hotel that is in the Michelin guide.”
Allan,
Blangy Le Chateau
In the pedestrian area around Place Kléber, the historic Maison Rouge features ancient stained-glass windows and rooms decorated with individual character. A minibar and satellite TV are basic facilities in the rooms at Maison Rouge. Each is serviced by the hotel’s traditional elevator and has a private bathroom with a bathtub or shower. With a single wall featuring a large Züber painting, the dining room offers an elegant setting for the continental breakfast. The hotel also has a bar where guests can relax on wide green sofas. Additional facilities include daily newspapers and a 24-hour front desk. Outside of the hotel, the local tram system provides access to historic Strasbourg including rue de Mésange, 5 minutes away. Hotel Rooms: 140

What did I like about Maison Rouge? Everything. The location can't be better: 7 minutes walking-distance to Petite France to the west and 5 minutes to the Cathedral to the east, a block away from a parking building and in front of the tram. The building and the decoration are a bit old-fashioned for our taste but still comfy and elegant. The room (very quiet) and bathroom was spacious and clean. In the room there is a minibar and a flat-screen TV with several international channels. The breakfast plenty and good. The staff is inceedibly friendly. All future trips to Strasbourg will include this hotel as a must. The hallways have a slight musty smell, but not a big deal. Cannot understand how can anybody else could find anything to critize. And we are extremely picky.

It's proximity to everything in the City Center; the room was large, comfortable, well-appointed. Breakfasts were buffet and quite good. Rooms not air conditioned and adjacent street noise perturbs sleep. The hotel could do better in advertising its parking facility (we would have used it); this option should be available on your website. Otherwise, hotel staff should have a list of outlying, less expensive parking facilities accessible by tram.

A real, hospitable, pleasant hotel - everything is real (the window opens, there is real ("tangible") and pleasant heating, the furniture is just what is needeed, nothing unnecessary, and everything that is necessary for a comfortable feeling. The internet connection could have been better (stronger). Besides this, I could mention three things that are really insignificant nuances, just in case the hotel wants to improve on them: 1. there could be stronger light in the room, 2. the soap dispensers in the bathroom are slightly difficult (needed two hands) to use 3. I missed cereals and milk from the breakfast offer.

It was well placed to walk through the main shopping district. It is not possible to drive to the hotel. The closest we were able to get due to the pedestrian zone was 300m. It made moving bags a bit more difficult.

Modern facility located in the city center. Wonderful, friendly staff. The room was clean, very comfortable, and the bed and linens were very nice! Soundproofing could be improved. While this did not prevent me from falling asleep, I could here a gentleman coughing, water of flowing in the wall when a shower or toilet was used and the tram.

Had a hard time realizing where to park but once we did it was wonderful to walk up and find ourselves in the center of the gorgeous town square and feet from the hotel. The room, breakfast and the whole experience was lovely.

Location was perfect to walk around city. Also its bath room was quite big. As name of the hotel mentions, everything was in red colored includes wall color in the room. So, some might find difficulty to feel relax because of that.

We picked Maison Rouge to be close to the Christmas Market and it worked out great. The room was a little small with two children but we made it work and the trip was amazing. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone even with kids. We didn't try the breakfast buffet because it was a little pricey but we wanted to eat at the bakery/cafe's anyhow. The parking at the Kleiber parking garage worked out very well and was worth the price since we didn't have to drive anywhere during our stay.
