Mama Shelter Paris

The rooms, the fantastic beds, the staff and the restaurant. The design the layout. The linens were luxurious too!

No coffee maker in 'kitchen' area of room. Pizza restaurant was so hot we could not stay and eat. Mini bar instead of a mini fridge, could not store food we bought.

Nice service. Amazing staff, very attentive and helpful. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Good internet. Bedding is fabulous and always fresh.

The hotel's location is the only thing I was not comfortable with but I guess this is the very reason why it is a budget-friendly hotel.

Excellent and friendly staff; Excellent design, creative decoration; delicious and extensive breakfast; Good pizzas; No noise in the rooms; Affordable.

Far from the metro station(s) if you are carrying your bags from or to the airport; rooms are too hot if you're not into airconditioning; room was a bit too dark; no place (to read a magazine, newspaper or a book) in the hotel if you don't want to be in your room and don't want to be drinking or eating at the hotel restaurant; Keyboards to iMacs didn't work properly; Selection of free movies to watch in the rooms is poor, very hollywood oriented, not a single good french movie...

Buffet food

Caotic at breakfast time No trays available to place coffee and food at same time .. Therefore everyone had to queue 4 times !!!run out of dishes and spoons... No leadership person in food area..amusing to watch !!!

The restaurant was buzzing and the food was beautiful

The room was too dark in the day time, i went outside and my eyes hurt for a while, perfect for night, but not day

The bed is good, The breakfast is good. Friendly staff

Television didn´t work well. All the movies stopped constantly. The wifi didn´t work. The light is very poor

It is different, the bar and pizza place are excellent, people working there are young, laid back and really nice, iMac in every room is cool, the giftshop is outstanding

Interior

Light in bathroom and we payed the dubble then a promo that was on there website. Would be more fare to give us the room at that price. Also drinks in the bar where expensive.

Loved everything and made the Paris trip really special! Friendly and helpful Staff, novel and very interesting hotel, the atmosphere, very modern and very trendy! Clean rooms and The fact that free movies and free wifi in whole of hotel and rooms was a major positive point! Walking into the hotel brought a smile to your face - had lots of fun at this very trendy and biuzzing hotel, great party atmosphere!

Modern hotel with great designed rooms, helpful staff and great restaurant bar. Nice touches such as Apple Mac TV and Kiehls products in bathroom. Comfortable rooms and not far from good areas/ metro.

Quite a walk from Metro stations, situated on between 3 equal distance from each.

- Not much to not like.

The design is crazy fashionable cool! Velib station in front of the hotel, metro station at 10' walk, awesome breakfast and dinner (don't forget to make reservation for dinner, they're full booked almost every night-even on a weekday), free movies in the room, Kiehl's shampoo and shower gel, friendly staff. We had a problem accessing Wifi in the room and staff arranged for a technician to fix the problem within minutes. Mama shelter we'll come back!

Hard bed, but that's personal.

Mama Shelter is a great attempt to offer something fresh and new in the dusty climate of Paris hotels. It does look a bit too kitsch, in as much as too many influences are to be encountede in it. But it is an ssumed and lively kitsch, so it's all fr the best! My deluxe room was large enough, great bed, small but efficient bathroom, great cleaning and cleaning ladies, very intelligent people at the Reception, lovely breakfast, great sleep and rest, and always having the feeling we are in the middle of what happens funky in paris!

The hotel is a little hard to reach, if not by bus 76 that goes from Louvre Rivoli up to the 20th. The tube is quite a walk away. I was a little disturbed though, a few times, by the lack of expoerience, of warmth and of attention of the very very young personnel of the restaurant. Especially from the evening shift, when they walk fast through the tables, the very young bosses seemed to re-master the world and they are so filled with their importance that they do not mind destroying the client's peacefull moments. A feeling, a bit, as being on an industrial line, and that the waiters were just waiting for us to finish pour breakfasts, lunches or dinners; a feeling of a very shallow politeness and kindness....Even though from the hotel itself, we always got very small and very uncomfortable tables and treated as second class clients in the restaurant! In the morning there is too much noise from the mise en place and from the waiters talks, making it hard to relax in the gorgeous silence on the terrace...I Believe that more experience and trainning on this matter wouldn't harm! Other than that, all well, I hope to get back soon.

I loved the restaurant, design, comfortable couches, atmosphere. I also loved the Apple products, free wifi and the free movies, great for kids/teenagers

bediening op het terras was wat minder. er werd niet goed opgelet of er een nieuw tafeltje bezet was. ergo het duurde lang voor je wat kon bestellen.
