Loved the bar/restaurant vibe at the weekend and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
The lack of lighting in the bed room and the fact there were no net curtains to stop neighbouring properties seeing straight into your bed room during the day. Felt very overlooked.
Fun atmostphere, great food in restaurant
Friendly staff, great character and décor, comfy bed and clean.
Queues in reception - nearly missed flight home, as taxi didn't turn up - left waiting 40 minutes from ordering. Poor lighting in room.
The ambiance and buzz, the great restaurants. Value for money. Stylish rooms
Rooms are very tight but doable. The lighting is a bit somber.
hotel well styled, liked the use of Imacs in bedrooms, good info from hotel about the local area, good to have two restaurants and some entertainment (DJ) on site in the evenings
The location was great for me. I didn't want to be on the tourist trail. Real people - real community. As I was travelling alone, I felt very safe walking in Mama Shelter's area at night. The restaurant is great and is very popular, so make sure to book if you want to eat there. My room was quiet and comfortable and just a little bit funky and fun.
Lighting in my room was very dim despite numerous lamps. Hard to read at night. A power point in reach of the mirror in the bathroom for the hair drier would have been good.
Great hotel especially for teenagers who felt so cool being there Perfect
Amazing comfortable bed Great service, spoke good English & very helpful.
Only bad thing was wifi was a bit on & off in our room.
Staff are so helpful and speak English. Always friendly. Very clean and comfortable accomodation.
A little far out from the centre of Paris and the underground is a nightmare to follow.
We liked the staff and their assistance very much. Very clean and bed was comfortable. Well we couldn't see any dirt or dust in the gloom... OK for a dirty weekend as the hotel seems geared up towards sex: free porno films, masks. Lubricant etc.was on sale in foyer, dim lighting, even the local bus to the Eiffel Tower was a 69! And there was the ability to film it if you so desired! Reasonable choice of free movies
Very, very dim lighting, no choice of brighter lights or a dimmer, or even a flashlight/torch! Air conditioning vent blows onto the bed and was too cold even with the thermostat turned up. Too hot without the air conditioning. No tea or coffee facilities in the room! Seems overpriced for the location - a long way to the city centre. One night there was a disco that boomed out until late so that the hotel kept their own guests awake with its disco party!
The staff were really helpful and friendly, the accommodation was clean, comfortable and modern,
whilst the room had a microwave it did not have tea/coffee making facilities. For an overnight stag in Paris there was not much in the way of restaurants in the vicinity but the hotel restaurant is very popular.
Fab hotel slightly off beaten track. Was underwhelmed by restaurant -food over priced & not that great apart from that no complaints. Staff 12/10 - brilliant
When 76 bus stops working it's a Long walk from the Bastiile
The wonderful design of the hotel spaces, lifts and rooms were really the draw of this hotel. The rooms were fun and inviting, from the design to the colours, cleanliness and concept. Breakfast was a combination of large hot and cold buffet with tasty food. The staff were friendly and helpful and the reception area was great, with so many interesting things to look at. Would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat!
The toilet paper in the bathroom kept falling off the holder every time you sat on the toilet, due to incorrect installation of the holder. Because the computer system operated the tv and wifi, when the wifi went down, the tv was inoperable. But in reality, in comparison to all the wonderful things about the hotel, these were quite minor.
Many things. Style, design, restaurant, friendly, helpful staff, clean contemporary look, extremely convenient car parking facilities.
Funky lamps: very stylish but nit functional, Dark rooms, dark lifts and no space in the fridge to keep even one small pastry!
I loved the mattress in my room. Extremely comfortable and beautiful design in my room and the hotel. Food and bar were excellent!
The only complaint I have is that the location of the hotel is not the best. Kind of an up and coming area but not close to shopping or cafe's etc.
Very comfie bed & bedding.
Was too dark to see in the room. Not enough lights. Very very small room. No soap holder.
Friendly staff and ease of transport to the city centre
There was't the possibility to prepare a coffee or a cup of tea with sugar!
Creative concept Friendly staff Excellent breakfast buffet Heavenly beds
Tiny bathroom Rooftopterrace was closed the whole weekend/3 days we were there although the sun was shining We came here on honeymoon but there was no upgrade or anything
Quiet room, but bustling bar/restaurant. Black decor made for good sleep. Excellent shower.
No tea/coffee making facilities. Did not manage to open the mini bar/fridge.
Seriously trendy hotel, our teenagers loved the iMacs, really clean soundproof rooms. Pizza restaurant was superb. Great showers and good hairdryer. Location worked well easily accessible for the RER, and good places to eat in the 20e arrondisement.
Too dark generally and the lights appeared to be dimmed in the room. Also we had a microwave but would really have preferred a fridge. Would also expect a gym in a modern hotel like this.
the decor and the staff
the location, very far from the centre and the area was really suburbian,no restaurants around .
Staff were very helpful and cheerful Restaurant food excellent as was the service Room clean Location was great in an interesting and upcoming area. Good to be out of city centre, but may not suit if doing standard tourist visit due to journey required to centre.
Room was a bit stark (no pun intended!) and expected it be a bit larger
love the design details of the hotel, the general atmosphere is very cool, modern and relaxed (unusual in Paris). The breakfast is great. the bar/restaurante is really fashionable now, always busy. Allready booked the mama shelter istanbul for my next holidays, just loved the general concept of it
the only minor problem is the location... it is a bit far from the center (1 hour walk from the hotel de ville), but there is a great bus just in front of the hotel that goes directly to the center (marais / louvre), and metro lines are 10 minute walk. Only problem is after the closing time of the metro/bus lines, as taxis at night in paris are absurdly difficult to catch!!!
