Manoir De L'Acherie  

We liked just about everything. We will stay there again when next visiting the area. Cleanliness, quality of decoration, facilities, service, and meals were excellent. We wish we had booked for longer.

Peace and quiet. Evening meal.

On arrival we were shown to our room (top of chapel?) some 50 metres from the main part. The room hadn't been made up! We were asked to wait; not even offered a coffee! After 10 minutes, we went to a local cafe for one instead! Room was dark due to the small windows and curtains - needed the lights on during the day! Dangerous, too, when open - pointed edges! It was about 30 steps up to the room. We are a mature couple but were not asked initially if we could manage the steps! No head height in the bathroom so no good if you were over 6ft. Toilet separate from bathroom. There should have been a small wash hand basin in the toilet - it was big enough - because you had to go across the bedroom to wash your hands! No means of fire escape! Proprietor's attitude was awful. Not even a "good morning" or any sort of interaction with anyone at breakfast. The waitress was very pleasant, though. Background music would have been nice to make the atmosphere less depressing. Breakfast poor value for money - had to pay extra for an egg had we wanted one! Good food in the evening restaurant, but again the attitude wasn't good! Only French tv channels; WiFi wouldn't connect. The proprietor kept us waiting 15 minutes to check out, with no apology for doing so. Then she just made up the bill and didn't even asked us how our stay was! We left!

Excellent value for accommadation and 18 euro set menu.

Charming hotel in a renovated farmhouse. Bedrooms have been fitted into various original buildings in an imaginative way with attractive decorative touches. A husband and wife team run the hotel and work hard to provide a homely atmosphere with delicious meals featuring local Normandy cuisine.We will hope to visit again.

Excellent accommodation, superb food, welcoming and helpful staff, good parking facilities, quiet location, charming character. we stayed in the separate outbuilding near the car parking area.

Set in lovely grounds, characterful building. Excellent meal, well cooked and presented and good value for money

staff were all very helpful ,though is is best if you can speak a little french , the food is excellent , we would book again.

A une demie heure du mont Saint Michel , cet ancien manoir situé très au calme au milieu de la campagne Normande dispose d'un parking privé et propose des chambres confortables et parfaitement tenues Nous avons très bien mangé le soir (le chef s'attache à une cuisine authentique avec des produits régionaux de qualité )à côté d'un bon feu dans la cheminée monumentale

Bien que les chambres soient confortablement équipées leur décoration un peu vieillotte nécessiterait un peu de couleur et de gaieté
