The lady at the front desk was very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast for 8 EURO was really reasonable and the buffet was substantial. Our room was clean and cozy with a large bathroom. The gentleman who checked us in late at night tried to charge us more for our room as to what we paid online. We booked through booking.com for 62 EURO per night, and when we arrived very late at night, he told us the price was 132 EURO. Since we booked last minute, he had not yet noticed our online booking and put us in a deluxe room for more money. In the end it all worked out, as we paid 62 EURO because the nice woman at the front desk honored our booked rate. |

The en-suite bathroom was very nice The attached restaurant was shut on Saturday. We went on Friday and the food was nothing special although the price was quite expensive - no alternative to price. |

The hotel had a lovely garden out the back which would be great if you are travelling with children or wanted to relax with a book under the tree. The staff were quite incompetent and unfriendly. We had specifically requested a double bed when we originally booked and were told that they didn't have any double rooms available so we had to stay in two single beds! They did not even offer to push the beds together to and make it as one double. There wasn't much information on the Loire Valley at the hotel. Only really Chinon. It took quite a bit of time to get to Blois and Chambord. We estimate 1 and a half hours so if you're going just for the weekend we'd suggest staying closer to that area. Also we booked this hotel because it had WIFI but it did not work in our room. |

Nice room, ambiance, pleasant location. Old building of 17-th century with modern facilities. Nearly impossible to find without GPS. Necessary to have a car. |

Zeer rustige ligging, goede kamer, veilig gratis parkeren. middenterrein zou tussen 22.00 uur en 7.00 uur met ketting afgesloten moeten zijn (auto's over grof grind); internet op kamer werkte bij mij niet (bij receptie wel). |
