Chosen for its real French appeal in a lovely setting. Large suite was lovely. Really good value for money. Distance to centre and very little staff.

We were upgraded to a bigger bedroom which was great. I thought the owners could have offered more assistance with finding facilities for laundromat washing, i thought a little unhelpful with our queries. Breakfast very basic. Otherwise a good experience.

A period hotel very well presented and the staff were helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was very good. The bed wasnt long enough for my husband( 6ft 1ins) and his legs hung out of bed. The stairs were plentiful and steep and it was painful climbing up and down and carrying suitcases

Safe and secure car parking for our classic car. Within easy walking distance to beach, town centre and restaurant. Breakfast good . Breakfast not served until 9am which was a little late for us.

Lovely old house with beautiful gardens. We had a ferry to catch at 8.30am but were told the continental breakfast wouldn't be served until 8.20am. So we were not able to have anything. We had tea/coffe in the room at least. No reduction on the rate for no breakfast! As the hotel is close to the ferry port you'd think they'd take the timings into account.

A group of friends stayed here for the puposes of exploring the eastern end of the D-Day landing beaches,so this hotel was great for using as our base. It was on a Bed & Breakfast basis and the breakfasts (continental style) were plentiful. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. There were two or three nearby restaurants within walking distance, but Cabourg is a short drive away where there were more restaurants (and shops, too). The staff were friendly and couldn`t really do enough for us. Very little English is spoken, so I would suggest British travellers brushing up on your French! We were asked to settle our bill in cash, which we didn`t have enough of as I thought they would take credit or debit cards. Luckily, there was a supermarket a short drive away where I could go and draw out the money from a cash machine. I don`t know if it was just British or other foreign cards they wouldn`t take though - best to check upon booking.

A fine 19th Century house, set in spacious grounds, the Marjolaine has been lovingly and skilfully restored from a dilapidated state, and transformed into a stylish and comfrotable Chambres d'Hote premises, run energetically and efficiently by Monsieur Faye.

Friendly staff. Beautiful house, a photo album in the lounge shows the years of hard work that went into restoring it and the result is fantastic. Highly recommended. No plates for breakfast was a little strange but the breakfast itself was good. Bathroom was a little moldy.

It's a lovely manoir, in an old house, with modern facilities. The room we had, had a balcony, which made the stay extra nice. We could take our lunch, koffie or drinks in the evening outside. You do need a car or bike, as it's not in the centre of Cabourg.

A delightful manor house with a large garden and a peacock to welcome you. The room was comfy with antique french furniture and a good size bathroom. The breakfast was continental with a variety of goodies and fresh orange juice. The 80 euro price included the breakfast and was good value for the money.

Good location, traditional building, pleasant grounds. Hospitality tray was meagre . The view from the bedroom was disappointing because the patio area below was neglected and therefore distracted from the overall view.

It was a beautiful place. The owner was the only person there. We stayed one night, and he was very helpful when we had problems with our car. He phoned the Ford garage in Caen and checked to see if they had the part. Breakfast was basic but tasty. The only problem was that in the small print of Booking.coms conditions it was Cash only. I hadn't even noticed it, as I had booked two rooms on my card, which only secured the booking. So when we got there and he told us that it was cash only it was a shock especially as I had to pay for two rooms. It meant that we had to get more cash out, which was a bit of a nuisance as I had got all my cash before we left. Really I think Bookings.com should have made it clearer when we made the booking. It was a little annoying as we haven't had any problems with Bookings.com in the past.

We had a wonderful stay in the Manoir de la Marjolaine. Our friend from Normandy was with us and we all enjoyed the rooms and the great breakfast. The owner and staff were outstanding. The location of the manoir near the sea and the city of Cabourg was a real plus. We have already recommended the manoir to our French friends. It was Great !!!!!!!!!!
