Manoir de la Queue Du Renard

Sehr nah an der Autobahn aber ruhig. Sehr freundlich und flexibel. Tolles Frühstück. Auto steht mit Gepäck ganz sicher, Kinder können vor der Tür im Park herumlaufen.

Die Lage war gut, ruhig aber nächste Ortschaft nur 1km entfernt. Inhaberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück war für französische Verhältnisse gut.

Kein Hotel, deswegen auch kaum Serviceleistungen. Fernseher ist z.B. Auch nicht vorhanden, Internet war in unserem Zimmer (Vierbett) auch nicht vorhanden. dafür wurden aber täglich die Betten gemacht.

Clean. Host accommodated late arrival (11pm) without any issue.

What is with the scrimping on toilet paper? Accepts only cash, no credit cards. Breakfast was just bread for us though the next table was amply served by the hostess. Internet not available unless asked.

The family room was located in an outside building - the first unit development of an old cow shed by the look of it. Up some makeshift wooden steps, the door wasn't the best fit. Inside the room was very cold. The owner explained she had kept the windows open to air it, but it took until the middle of the night to heat through. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest, the floor of the bedroom also. Our sinuses were up the next morning. The room had no tv and was basic. I don't think the development of the unit was to a high standard and deserved the 90 euros we paid. On a 10 night road trip of Northern France during March we got much better value elsewhere. At breakfast, there was a couple who had stayed at the manor itself and were perfectly happy. My review concerns the family room.

animal hairs on single spare bed cover, I had to fold this over so as not to start coughing. bathroom tile cracked on shower tray floor and floor in bathroom kept getting very wet.

Breakfast was excellent. Location was central for visiting lower Normandy sites such as landing beaches, Caen, bayeax tapestry, and mont st michel. Proprietors were very friendly and helpful and other guests were all very friendly.

Family room didn't have wifi, which was a blessing and a curse. It was nice to be cut off from technology a bit, but would have been more convenient for looking up some of the sites to visit. As it was, there was a room available for us to use wifi, but it was in the other building.

This is a little haven. Beautiful manor in lovely grounds. Good mix of old fashioned French and modern conveniences.

Fantastic! If you want to experience the genuine atmosphere of Northern France, come to Manoir. Way better than any hotel - you are welcomed as a friend with real hostitality.

The location suited us on a journey from San Malo to Le Havre breaking up the journey with an overnight stop. We had a very warm welcome with the proprietor driving us around the little village to show us where the best restaurants were. This was mainly because not a word of English is spoken at this hotel, have your phrase book ready. The room was perfect and the grounds made for a pleasant evening stroll. Would recommend this place to all.

Location

I found it very relaxing after a long journey with 2 small children. The lady running it was welcoming and efficient and helpful. There was lots of space for the children to run around in the lovely garden.

There was no evening meal but we only had to go a couple of mins in the car to the local town where there were a couple of restaurants to choose from.

The grounds look great and the welcome was great too. The hotel has a classic French feel to it - furniture, design, architecture. The room was very spacious and our family of four were very comfortable. Breakfast was great and got us started for the day of sightseeing. Great value, great service, highly recommended.

Lovely country style hotel (old farmhouse) with large lawns and small lake. This is the style we like. Very friendly owners, huge rooms, great breakfast with fresh food. Everything is as it should be. Loved the pace. Highly recommended.

My family and I were most impressed by the warmth and hospitality of the hostess. She and her family made us feel truly welcome. Our room was beautifully appointed with comfortable beds and a huge bathroom. In addition the suite was spotless. Breakfast was served in a charming room on lovely china. We truly enjoyed our delicious breakfast which included a large variety of foods. The breads and pastries were fresh each day. The Manoir grounds were beautiful too.

This is a very different place to stay: and 19th century "manor- house", still owned by the descendents of the original Normandy family. We stayed in the converted stables but with enough beds to accommodate our family of five. Beautiful countryside and quaint nearby Norman town. Monsieur speaks English, but Madame only French. However, she was very cordial and provided us with an exceptionally delicious French breakfast! Still, it would not hurt to brush up on your French before coming!

Difficult to find. Speaking French is a definite plus. You are otherwise left on your own (no 24-hour service....).

Very charming chateau. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The rooms really give the feeling of an 18th century castle yet are nicely updated and comfortable. The price was very competitive with a moderate priced hotel but with a lot of charm and authenticity.

It was very hard to find even with an up to date gps as it is quite a ways out in the countryside and doesn't have a conventional street address. The owner was finally able to help us enter the correct address and once we finally got there around 11pm it was delightful.

We were 4. shared a room with 2 doubles. The room and bathroom are very spacious. The grounds really make this place so wonderful. You just feel at peace. The owner was also very sweet and professional. Lovely breakfast with brioche, croissants, bread, jam, honey, yogurt, and a selection of fruit (kiwi, apples, bananas) Drinks we had were Hot Chocolate, Tea and Coffee. It was a lovely stay.

I would suggest adding a shower curtain in the shower. Would allow for some privacy (if someone else wanted to enter the bathroom while one is in shower) and it would protect the water from splashing out of the shower.

We liked it but were surprised that the owner would not accept a credit card The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are very small but clean. The Manoir prsents itself well but individual rooms are much simpler than the exterior building. Breakfast was very good with ample variety. Steve. Guss. New. Jersey

For the price we had nothing in the room... No cups / tea / coffee / soap etc.. it was a good job we brought our own!

This place was fantastic! The owners were friendly and charming, the grounds and rooms were beautiful, and it was a great location for touring Normandy. We can't wait to stay there again!
