Ease of check in, quality of breakfast and parking provision Lack of twin bed options (though room easily large enough); no food available in the evening (even something simple) either at hotel or nearby village at 9 pm on a Friday; no tv; no shower (just hand held over roll top bath) |

The house was beautifully restored The hosts were not very welcoming and the room did not agree to the details I had booked. It was a long way at night to try and find somewhere to have an evening meal, with no help or directions. |

The Hotel owners greeted us warmly and provided very helpful information about the city and sights. Breakfast was delicious with freshly squeesed orange juice, bagettes and selection of jams. I would highly recommend to any traveller, business person or family. Merci V! |

Although described as an hotel, this is, in fact, a bed and breakfast. The building, which is in the country, has been renovated and has a 'country house' feel. It made a good overnight stop for us, close to Cherburg and the ferry. |

The owners made us feel very welcome. Our room was very well proportioned and reasonably well furnished - although there was no TV or radio/clock - and the bathroom was large and clean. Breakfast is a typically modest French affair - but adequte, nevertheless. Unfortunetly, our room was full of flies when we arrived, and a considerable time was spent getting rid of them ! |

Perfect! A romantic location, fabulous building with spiral stone staircase, a beautiful room and bathroom, great breakfast in a magnificent dining room; this place is a real find. The restoration of the manoir and its buildings is a true labour of love, and we felt privileged to be able to stay there. There was nothing to dislike for us, but the real countryside peace and quiet, (and absence of a TV) is not for everyone. |

This is a very charming place to stay and extremely clean. We found the beds a little small but they are of course antique french beds! |

This was an unxpectedly absolutely charming place to stay, a small manor house that feels buried in the countryside but is highly accessible for the main road between Cherbourg and Caen, Bayeux and the D-Day beaches. The owner speaks perfect English and could not have been more helpful, without being at all intrusive. It is purely bed and breakfast, not a full service hotel,(eg no TV in the room) but the house is in its own grounds, up a poplar lined drive, and you are free to wander the immaculate grounds, including the apple orchard. I stayed for one night as a stop over, but would have no hesitation in returning for a longer period. My double room was large and immaculate, the stone walls and stairs mean there is very little noise from the other rooms, despite the house being full when I stayed. The breakfast was laid out in the dining room and was perfectly adequate, with cereals and rolls etc. |

Everything about this hotel was just perfect ... down an alley of trees, lost in the forest and fields outside the town of Valognes, in the Contentin peninsula, you come up to a beautiful mansion of the 16th century. The garden is well tended, plants have small signs naming them, a small pond lies in one corner, the owner welcomes you with a large smile and warm words. The rooms have each a theme. |

La déco de la chambre, l'acceuil, le calme. Le manoir est un peu isolé et sans GPS je conseille d'aller sur le site de l'hotel pour voir le plan. |

Prachtig huis, mooie kamer. Vriendelijke gastheer. Wel erg gehorig. Buren met kinderen die je continue hoort. Geen televisie op de kamer. |
