The Manoir is a 300-year country manor beatifully converted to its present use. The owner/manager is justifiably proud of what he has achieved and of imposing antique furniture in the salle de séjour. Ciusine in the fine dining room was outstanding; the best crême brulée I've ever tasted! Sole minor criticsm: the elaborate spa bath had only a hand-held shower, which always requires the skill of a juggler while showering.

We found Le Manoir extremely cosy; the decor is done in a most tasteful manner; the view from our rom was dreamy and the food was outstanding with a beautiful presentation. We found Eric, the owner, very helpful and knowledgable of the region, which helped us with our trip to Conques and other places in the area. Whener it will be possible in the future, we will return to Le Manoir and its welcoming atmosphere. We would recommend Le Manoir to anyone.

The hotel is very cosy and clean. The host was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, didn't have chance to meet chef de cuisine to thank him personally for fabulous dinner and very nice breakfast. Definitely we'll stay again in our next trip!

We enjoyed our stay here in mid-March. The setting is beautiful - looking over a small valley and river. It is close to Estaing, a village that justly deserves its designation as one of the most beautiful in France - and one of our favourites. Eric is one of the owners and a fine host. He spent a lot of time with us, kindly answering our questions on the history of the area, the people and food. Our meal was wonderful. It didn't hurt to have been warmed with wine beforehand in front of the fire in the huge manor-style fireplace. One of our best stays in France.

Incredible helpfulness of the staff. I had been back pacing for three weeks and wanted to make a little rendezvous with my hubby. They didnt bat an eye at my stinky pack they just showed me to my room and offered to launder any of my clothes that needed freshening. The food was fantastic too, but it is in France and I suppose that goes without saying!

this is the second time we stayed there and we were still very happy with everything. food is excellent and the rooms comfortable although a little small. only disadvantage is that it is located above a road (not terrribly busy but, still, sleeping with the windows open is not great). thank god we had a fan and were able to close our windows. we would still stay there again though

Excellent, peaceful location. Restaurant food was excellent with a good choice of menu and wines. Excellent value for money. Attentative hosts. Had a bolster on the bed and only discovered pillows in the wardrobe during the night, when bolster proved too uncomfortable.

Ideally updated French manor house. Superb decor in all the rooms. Exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts. This is a small, intimate hotel, with thick stone walls, arched ceilings, and a cozy sitting room with a large fireplace. Food was superb;one of the best restaurants in the area. Great location in the more rugged part of the Aveyron, and good jumping off point for pleasant, hilly walks and exploring small, medieval villages.

The building is very special and it was a very quiet location. Our room looked across fields to a weir on the river and on to a wooded hillside. It was very tranquil. Personally, I prefer a proper shower to a bathtub with a hand held shower attachment, but that is a small quibble!

Le Manoir is a small hotel - 9 rooms, but one that is old style French luxury. The room was not large, but adequate, clean and comfortable. The location was a little further out of Estaing than we expected, too far to walk, but close to one of the local vineyards. We ate in the restaurant and were rewarded by a sublime culinary experience. The hotel only uses local produce, and it was prepared and presented with care. We were given a full description of each course, where the beef came from, where the fish was caught, where the cheeses were made, how the wines were from the local vineyard. A restaurant to be highly recommended and overall a hotel to go out of the way to visit.

This fabulous manoir cannot be faulted. Location, staff, room layout and facilities, dinner and breakfast menus plus that undefineable quality that makes a memorable stay. Totally recommend the manoir to anyone who appreciates walking thru a front door of an establishment and immediately feels at ease and welcomed.
