Location Clean Open all night
Room very small
excellent location, clean rooms, friendly staff - very good value for money
the room was a bit too small
Outstanding service: very, very friendly and efficient management at reception.
breakfast could be more inspired and have organic produce plus top espresso ;-)
The staff and location are both excellent so we stay here on a regular basis. The rooms on the 7th floor are spacious for Paris.
I usually try to stay on the 7th floor but wasn't able to for this 1 night trip. Had balcony room on the 6th which was quite small and a bit shabby. Only 1 chair on the balcony so if we had wanted to sit out we wouldn't have been able to at the same time. Other people staying on the 6th floor were noisily slamming doors until 1am which didn't make for a good sleep. No tea/coffee making facilities either.
The area that the hotel was situated was a pleasant, safe place with great shops, bars and cafes. Also the Metro was in walking distance of the hotel which was also convenient to make trips into Paris central.
The fact that there was no tea or coffee facilities in the room.
near metro station (Place d'italië, easy to get around Paris surrounded by restaurants, supermarkets. Very handy Tranquil area
Great location. Very easy to get to (line 5 straight from the Gare du Nord) and a 3 minute walk from the station. There are plenty of cafes, shops and restaurants nearby too. Felt very safe. Metro lines also lead straight to main tourist attractions (eg. Latin Quarter). Staff at the hotel were excellent. Very polite and upon arrival we were given lots of information. Room was compact but clean, as was the bathroom. Great shower. We had a quiet room on the first floor. There is the option to have breakfast but at 13 euros per person we opted to go to the little bakery down the road for freshly baked pastries in the morning. Free Wifi with very good signal.
Price of the buffet breakfast.
Very nice staff, decent location, small but clean room. The staff recommended best routes to the top attractions, and were kind enough to mail us some belongings we left in the lobby.
We stayed on perhaps the cheapest room, reserved in May to arrive in mid July. We liked the room being very clean, we couldn't hear the elevator and other guests were quiet. The room was on the 6th floor and had a little balcony with chairs. The staff was extremely nice. I would go again.
minuscule bedroom, there was a slight noise from some air entrance all night long. We could not switch it off. It was possible to sleep but if you need total silence that might be a nuisance.
Place d'Italie is an excellent location in that there is quick transport to all the tourist spots but there are no masses of tourists around all the time. The receptionists suggested some great bus rides. Great breakfast. Very pleasant lobby with newspapers and computer for guests.
Quiet location, not in the very heart of Paris but within quick and easy access to a metro station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good size room for Paris, rather small bathroom but o.k. Very good breakfast.
The fact that, on top of the breakfast price of 13€, a supplement of 5€ is charged if you'd want an omelette - wildly exagerated to our opinion. Because it was quite warm in the room, we would have preferred (the possibility of) a sheet on the bed instead of an eider-down.
The location is excellent right next to Chinatown is where we wanted to be. The receptionist is very helpful and polite. The other good thing is the wifi is excellent.
The room that we stayed in is right next to the lifts which means it was very noisy plus the walls was so thin we can hear the other guests in their rooms. We asked for a double room but the bed was two singles pushed together which makes it very uncomfortable to sleep. Also the room was pretty small.
Service Internet Initially room size was small once they come to know we have baby with us they changed to big room ...:)
Washroom Size was small
the staff is very nice.very friendly
A really good, clean and cozy hotel, small but comfortable, with a really good location 1 min from metro station, very nice area (extremely important for Paris), VERY friendly and helpful staff, rooms are quiet
Breakfast could be better
Staff went above and beyond to help make our stay perfect.
No Parking on street outside hotel on weekends
Location, wifi, bed, shower
The cleaness can be improved a bit.
The style is old fashioned The Wifi does not work well Not clean (dust and smoke smell)
The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable.
The staff were not that friendly. Would have liked notification that trains and taxis were going on strike so that I could leave early for my flight home.
The hotel upgraded me from a comfort double to a 2 room suite for my 5 night stay in late June 2014. Loved the small balcony on the 6th floor, with a bit of a view of the neighborhood. Room was meticulously clean. Air conditioning was strong (but it wasn't too hot at the time, so YMMV). Proximity to the Metro is great, with three lines to take you in any direction. Staff was friendly. I enjoyed my breakfast around the corner at L'Enteract, and found a great deal for dinner at Pizza del Navona (ask for Greiss if you need a bit of English help with the menu). Franprix is a small but good market to get inexpensive drinks like sodas and bottled water. Nice little residential area that was relatively quiet at night; I loved being able to escape the throngs of tourists at the end of the day. Yet, there were still a number of options for a later dinner within a couple of blocks of the hotel. The accessibility to all the sights in Paris was excellent, and I felt that the hotel was a very good value. Even traveling alone, I never felt unsafe.
The neighborhood may have less appeal for those who aren't accustomed to the quirks of the city, including homeless people up the street (not atypical for Paris), a burned out car on the street across from the hotel entrance, the burned out police station on the corner near the hotel, or the occasional siren at night. I was never woken up at night by noise, but if you are a light sleeper, I suggest using white noise in any hotel. The neighborhood isn't the flashiest or most beautiful in the city, but the hotel is priced accordingly.
The bed was very comfortable with nice bathroom. Friendly staff. Attractive lobby.
The room was small. For the price, and given the photos on the website, I expected something a little larger.
Charming hotel with a very french feel. We enjoyed the breakfast, though it was extra. Staff was wonderful and helpful.
Excellent and very competent/helpful staff. Good location. Cosy, even if small rooms.
Breakfast a bit overpriced (13€) for what it was.
