Frederic was amazing and very accomodating. We had a great time there and found it a good location for the metro to wherever you may want to go.
Most notably, Booking.com should not be relied upon to promptly send the information to the hotel. We arrived on July 8th and the hotel had only gotten a note about our 13-night stay that same day. Frederic was amazing and accommodated us. Do call or e-mail him before you arrive just to make sure he knows about your reservation. As with other reviews, the stairs are to be noted: we had 84 steps to climb (5th floor) every time we got back from a day of touring. The benefit is you get to work off all the amazing pastries from the local bakeries!
Clean sheets and a working shower
very old room hotel in mid refurbishment staff and manager were lovely but too mich to pay for so little not even a hairdryer!
Close from the metro station. The room was clean
The pictures don't depict the real state of the room; the walls were not finished... The mattress was very bad.
I appreciate everything in the hotel especially the provision of the free wi-fi
The fact that I was checked into the fourth floor without lift.
Room on 6th floor and no lift. One single toilet for six rooms on my floor.
Best quality for this price. Toilet and shower clean. Place is next to metro station, supermarket and some cafes and sushi bar near.
We had to leave for airport at 4 a.m. and asked to cal for taxi and at the resection I was told they can not help. I was told that just behind the corner is a taxi station. I found it but no taxi was working, just cars parked.
Staff could not do enough to help. We arrived at 1.45am due to chaos at the airport and were greeted with a very welcome smile. They are renovating so rooms will be better in future.
Quite a distance from Paris. Although there is a metro stop one minute away.
The hotel looks nothing like advertised on booking.com. It was dirty, filthy and disgusting. I travel a lot but I have never stayed in anything like this. We had no toilet seat! Wifi and card machine did not work either. Even hostel is better than that.Very very poor, especially for Paris!
The manager, Frederick, was very kind and welcoming. The value for the money is really the reason for staying here. It's location less than a block from a metro station gets into Paris center in about 20 minutes. It isn't a high-class hotel and is not meant to be, so don't go in expecting that.
Some mold in the bathroom, very small shower, extremely thin walls, very small room.
Only the price.
We booked a double room and the day we got there the staff said that they didn't have it, and we had to stay in different separate rooms, with no private bathroom and no soundproof as the one we booked. Although they charged a very low price for the incovenience, it was not a good night and some issues with neighbours complaining of the noise made me feel quite angry at the first day, and the staff was not nice with us. the receipt was wrong, saying the price we paid was lower than we actually paid, and we only saw it after we left the hotel. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to a friend. Instead, it would've been better to spend a bit more money in a better hotel
Great location, metro station just opposite the hotel. Recently renovated room. Very reasonable room rate for Paris.
The hotel had seen better days, though ongoing renovation, floor stairs left a lot to be desired. No lift in hotel, we had to climb to the 5th floor everyday.Room facilities are primitive, with only a bed, a chair and a bed stand. No table, no shelf, no wardrobe, and no bin in the whole room or bathroom. Chambermaid was lazy, never replaced used towels, shampoo and bath gel.
Very very bad. The person who work in the reception very ingry and resist. And the anthoer man who work in the morning in the reception also look like ingry and unfriendly. Thanks
Fortunately it was not really expensive. A price of 40€ per night is just correct. 80€ would be a hudge rip off.
Rooms are absolutely not like the photos. Red walls (not clean white). We asked for a no smoker room but it smells smoke when we arrived.
Unable to communicate with the desk workers in English. May be its related with the language but they all look rude and impatient. shower too small. The hotel needs a lot of renovation.
Staffs can speak English and we can enter 24 hours.
Terribly dirty, especially shower room and toilet.
The price and staff were friendly
Booked a room with a private bathroom, which we did not get. Also stated there was a mini bar in the room, there was none and there was no WiFi in the room as was stated
- Great location of the hotel - Personal was really more than friendly - Nice inside of the hotel, romantic - Balcony to the street - Room was not so small as we expected, there was enough space - Bathroom on the room - Near cemetery Pere Lachaize, which really worth visiting
- Bathroom was apparently pretty old. You can see some "maps" on the ceiling, but nothing terrible :)
Everything is bad in this hotel ... no soundproof rooms. you can hear every single step in the other rooms ..constructions at the early morning .. very dirty bathroom and room . no elevator and location is near metro station but its very very far from the center of the city .. i dont recommend at all specially with the high price proposed
Cheap, ok value for the price
The room was on the 6th floor with no elevator.
- small and depressing rooms - toilettes in common - no elevator - Internet is damn slow
The hotel rooms are very run down. Service was also poor, no clean towels or much cleaning of the room over 5 days.
Friendly staff, friendly neigborhood.
Looks tired -- there is ongoing renovation.
Near a metro station. Receptionist was ok.
Toilet seat broken off and just laying next to the toilet. Whole room smelled of smoking. Pillows hadn't been washed. Hairs including pubic all over the bed. Cobwebs in the room. Generally badly maintained and cleaned badly if at all.
Overall impression was of a family run hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Even though the hotel was old and could have done with a lick of paint, it was comfortable and secure. The location felt very safe with plenty of places to eat and was very well placed beside the metro which meant Paris was only 20 minutes away and all for 1.75 Euro or less if you got the carnet if tickets.
