Good value for the dollar, clean, quiet, safe, staff friendly and helpful, easy access to metro, and shops. Only one electrical plug in room, a bit spartan, no pictures on walls, but good value. Would recommend.

The location was really good very close to the metro station. The Room was a bit small but good for what you need when staying a few days in Paris, a place to shower and sleep.Other than that you won't be spending much time in a hotel as there is so much to see in Paris.

We've spent 4 nights at May's hotel a couple of weeks ago. The staff was friendly and helpful (and yes, they speak english!).The location was excellent, lots of bistros/bars/boulangeries nearby. The tube connection was perfect as well. The tube station is 5 seconds away from the hotel. We paid 80euros per night and this was one of the cheapest hotels in a very good location. We are budget travellers and do not mind. The room was very small (if the bathroom's door was open you couldn't move) and it could have been cleaner than it was! No hairdryer (need to be asked in the reception), uncomfortably soft bed and no daily change of sheet/towels. Breakfast was 6euros but we preferred to buy fresh pain au chocolate and coffee from a close boulangerie (cheaper than 6euros p.p).

The stuff were very friendly and the location was great. Bathroom facility wasn't the best... The shower was hardly working and not a good water pressure. There is no kettle in the rooms, so you have to pay for teas and coffees at the reception each time!! There is not a lobby or nice lounge area for guests to chill out and relax ...

In Paris, at this price, I think it is cost-effective. My sheet had some stains...but it seems like that it didn't come off even it was washed.

The rooms were very clean This was quite possible the worst hotel we have stayed at period. The hotel advertised that parking was possible on sight, this is not true. The only parking is on the street for a two hour limit. The rooms were extremely small even by European standards. We could hear every word the people staying in the next room said, even though they seemed to be talking in a normal voice. We could hear every vehicle that drove by. The small cafe on the corner was very loud until after midnight. There were no pillows on the bed, Instead there was a tube sew into the top of the sheet that appeared to be filled with rags or towels. We have never seen anything like this before.

The hotel staff there were extremely nice and funny! They should have kettle, hair dryer, shampoo and shower gel separately, toothbrush and toothpaste, slipper, clean and usable towels in each room. Breakfast should be buffet style or else it should be cheaper.

I like the location, and the room which was quite fair and clean just as I expected. Extras: we have got 2 plastic cups which proved useful, and we had a TV-set in the room which worked. They lent a traveller adapter for us to use uk plug ( Thank you for that) The staff is not very friendly but not rude either. * They did not welcome us. * Somehow we did not notice that they sell water and drink at the reception from a fridge and they did not mentioned when we arrived. *They did not tell any information without asking. *Only the technical or cleaning staff was friendly talked to us a little. * The bed was uncomfortably soft. * In the morning there was not hot water but I am not sure if there was at night though

Only the price. The room was a little dirty and smelled. It was under the roof and the window had no curtains, so when the sun rose the light came in. After 1 week I'm still waiting the invoice.

It was in an ideal location close to spectacular parts of Paris such as Republique, Bastille and La Pop La Fayette. The room was so hot like a sauna with no control of the heating. It still felt hot opening both windows as wide as you can in the middle of winter.

Marys Hotel does what i says on the tin, the staff were friendly and helpfull especially with direction etc. Its in a safe area , the towels and bed linen were changed daily, its really close to metro (when you get the hang of the metro). I went with my 10yr old daughter, it was in safe area with bakeries, shops, coffee shops etc just around the corner. We went on the 5th of February and it was minus 10 degress outside but the hotel was lovely and warm the heating didn't get turned off and the room was really cosy. It was good value for the money. Marys hotel is not hugh but like i say it does what it says on the tin only thing maybe is the room was a little small but that is only minus issue

Hotel staff was very kind and helpfull. Hotel is very good located, at meters of Metro Oberkampf. Nice time in Paris thanks to every people involved with tourism. Gracias desde Argentina. Recomendable 100 %. Perhaps the triple room was too small, even we used it only for sleeping.

The hotel is very easy to reach from the Metro (walking from Republique is just as quick as changing line) so is conveniently positioned with bars and foodstores nearby. The reception staff were extremelyy pleasant and their English is much better than my attempted French. The room I had was clean, fresh and warm and although quite small was adequate for a solo occupancy. The small table and chair was useful. They were happy to store my bag for the whole day when I was leaving. There is wi-fi but unstable and unusable in the room but a little better in reception. (Eat in Cafe Nambodai across the road and they will give you free access to their wi-fi. Sadly the signal is not strong enough to access from the hotel!) There is no soap but there is a liquid soap dispenser. It's sort of ok but not really what I expect to find in a hotel. The breakfast is ok but nasty cheap machine coffee isn't best. A printed ( in English and clearly visible) sign 'inviting' patrons to return the finished breakfast tray to the bar would help avoid any potential misunderstandings. (Fortunately someone translated the grumpy remarks so I was able to quickly rectify the incident) From experience and others remarks I think advertising wi-fi in the room is a bit wide of the reality.
