Food was very good and staff pleasant and helpful.
Staircase was steep and dangerous. The bedroom was very small.
Food was excellent (when served!) Campsite over the road sold cheaper food when hotel wouldn't Lovely setting Nice swimming pool Ample parking
The outward opening door at the top of the stairs - really the direction the door opens ought to be switched round so that it opens into the corridor and not out onto the stairwell. WiFi didn't work in the rooms Requests to staff resulted in being made to feel you'd asked for a kidney and ask them to pay for the privilege, rather than to have dinner (response, 'we're not opening the kitchen tonight, it's been a tiring weekend, that wedding you were guests of wore us out') or help opening the bedroom door or simply wanting to check out and pay!
We stayed over a weekend to attend a wedding. The food was excellent.and the setting superb.
Not a good place to stay without a car, as there is only a limited bus service nearby and the taxi fare is about 20 euros into NImes.
Good location in old farm/hall, fairly quiet and not far from town
Staff not very friendly nor helpful, breakfast costs extra, wifi only works in the courtyard, room small and could hear every word from the telly next door, bathroom could do woth some repairs
Many tennis courts and a large swimming pool. Breakfast was lovely but we had to pay extra
Unable to have dinner in the restaurant due to the hotel hosting a wedding that night. Difficult staircase to navigate to room, quite dangerous with the door opening onto a tiny step on the staircase
Excellent hotel. Good clean room, cleaned daily. Clean . Swimming pool.
We had no car, bus service good but only hourly, expensive if relying on taxis.
Nice premises and large swimming pool, friendly staff and nice dinner by the pool.
Smell of chemicals in the bathroom coming from the pipes.
Nothing. Very bad most likely a scam hotel nothing as advertised do not stay here.
This is a very bad hotel do not stay here. The room was very small up a very dangerous staircase. The furniture was old and tired, the room was unclean and badly lit. The pool was dirty with leaves and grime in it. When we wanted to eat in the restaurant we found it closed to hotel guests as there was a conference on. Not even a bar snack was offered. When I complained about the standard of the hotel the owner was very confrontational and shouted at me when I asked if we could leave and be refunded. The hotel is double the distance from Nimes than is advertised and the whole set up is very poor. Nothing is close by so if they choose to close the restaurant for a conference there is no where to eat apart from the hotel next door which serves a set menu at 25 Euros a head which was not really worth the money spent. We were very disappointed and unhappy to stay but had no choice as the hotel has a no refund policy from the moment you book.
Dinners were excellent!
Could use a little renovation.
loved the look and design and furnishings
bathroom wasn't as good, needed up dating. The staff spoke english but were not pleased to see us and frequently told lies as to tourist information(such as saying busses ran on sundays although they clearly did not)
Took a bit of a punt after reading some negative reviews but the host was friendly and talkative. The room was dated but satisfactory and enjoyed a soak in the pool. Meal was also enjoyed, although discovered later had been charged for an aperitif that we thought was offered for free. Otherwise a good stay.
Just that extra charge and had a bit of trouble connecting to WiFi.
We unfortunately booked this hotel by mistake we should have booked the Pre de Galoffre next door which is excellent. When we arrived the owner was in the base of the swimming pool working .He did not come to greet us. An elderly woman who was power hosing the paths came ;handed us a key and pointed us in the direction of our room despite the fact we do speak French! We climbed a very dangerous staircase and gloomy narrow corridor to room 15.I can only describe the room as the worst I have ever stayed in! The plaster woodwork and fittings were all done by some "cowboy builder" or bad DIY. The walls were painted with a dark purple dark grey wash.Horrible dark grey and white curtains. The furniture was cheap-the bedside tables were 2 stools. We did not take our clothes out of the suitcases as the makeshift wardrobe was dirty. The ensuite bathroom had a huge wash basin unit which took up half-the space and it was difficult to move around the shower and toilet. We should have asked for a different room but we were tired and quite honestly everthing about the place looked similar. You can NOT trust photos! The whole place is very run down poor unkept gardens and tennis courts. The only positive thing I can say is we had a decent breakfast (despite the chipped cup )in a pleasant room-and we ventured to sample the evening meal which was excellent! What went wrong with the rest of it?????This place COULD be good if it had a good makeover
This hotel is a big fake. Most of the information here in booking.com is totally unappropriate. First of all the distance from the city center is double. The food is disgusting. Room is unclean and the hot water is coming after 40 min waiting. Wi-Fi is unavailable in the rooms area. The owner feedback that it's not his fault, but booking.com decided to notice, that there's available wifi. That was rediculous. Before the breakfast I was a witness of the following situation: the lady from the kitchen is asking the owner: Are the croissants out of date for the breakfast?.....He is fingering all of them and said: No, they are pretty good! Heartily recommend everyone to skip this hotel !!!!
