Mas des Carassins  

Muy superior a las tres estrellas. Restaurante sorprendentemente bueno. Son muy detallistas. Amabilidad no empalagosa.

Great little country inn. If you stay, you must dine on the inclusive daily menu as it is a vast array of flavors.

Location good; lovely building and gardens; food fabulous. We dined in the conservatory. Room smallish but perfectly formed. We will undoubtedly return.

Nothing apart from the fact that we got through our evening meal - 5 courses - in just over 2 hours. Could have slowed down just a little!

A very pleasant Mas with good food and friendly staff. Easy walking to the old town and if you are there when they "Run" the bulls in the street (as we were by chance) it is great fun.

The entire staff was so welcoming, helpful and concerned. We appreciated all the time and effort they spent to help us. The dinners were wonderful! The property was so pretty and well kept with 2 lovely pools.

We did not find anything to dislike there.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting and there grounds are lovely. It is within walking distance to the town of St Remy and the Glanum historical sight as well as the convalescent hospital where Van Gogh stayed.

First I had made the resevation in February and when I double chcked on it In July the hotel claimed they had never gotten the reservation. And naturally the good room I had reserved was not available. So I had to take what was available. The room lacked enough electrical outlets, a mirror near an electrical outlet so I could do my hair and any type of view. Once we were there I realized why the reservation was lost, the staff's attention to detail and follow through was definitly lacking. The reservation included breakfast and dinner. The food was very good but the service was so slow and uneven. One night dinner took tthree hours. It took over an hour for them to bring the first course. I wanted to leave and go back to the room but my husban said "No", he was hungry! The next morning they ran out of eggs and cereal and never replenished. Someone must have complained because the next night there were different and more staff and the dinner process was much more efficient.

This hotel is a comfortable, clean, renovated Provincal manor house with beautifully landscaped grounds directly at the south entrance to Saint-Remy-de- Province. There is excellent access by foot to town, to the Roman ruins at Glanum, and to the hospital at which Van Gough stayed. With car, places such as Avignon, Nimes, Arles, Orange and Pont-du- Gard are easily accessible. The breakfast at Mas des Carassins is generous, but it is for dinner that this hotel really shines. Each dinner consists of five parts, expertly and inventively prepared. The dinner has earned them a position in the Michelin guide and is worth the reservation and the stay on its own. A meal here, outdoors in the garden, served with love and elegance, is an experience.

There is need for more effective air conditioning in the rooms during the day. At night, the temperature cools down, and the air circulates well if a window is left open.

The grounds were lovely. Lots of private areas. The pools were fabulous . 10 minute walk into town. The food was spectacular .

The hotel is peaceful yet located within close proximity of the town. Dinner was excellent and the service throughout our stay was exceptional. The grounds are well maintained and the pool area is lovely.

The bathroom in our deluxe room was very small and somewhat tired in its presentation. My preference is to sleep on a feather pillow but these were not available.

The Mas is tucked away in a leafy garden just outside St Remy's centre. The area around, overlooking the Alpilles hills, is lovely. The supper was tasty and served in their hotel's very pleasant dining room but relatively pricey.

We were disappointed by our small, very contemporary room, as we had expected a more "provencal" decor. The modern part of the hotel has some peculiar design touches and awkward layout, and we could hear the room next door all too clearly.

Le charme de l'hôtel, l'accueil du personnel très convivial ainsi que la beauté du jardin agrémenté de magnifiques fontaines et scultures qui contribue au calme et à la sérénité du lieu sans oubliér son excellente cuisine et son petit déjeuner très cosmopolite

Arrivés vers 17 H le 31/12 nous avons découvert avec un grand désappointement que le réstaurant était fermé le soir !!! Il est inadmissible de ne pas avoir été prévenus. Accueil tout juste aimable et aucune excuse. Maison sans charme particulier. Hotel bruyant et sonore ( on entendait les voisins de chambre). Nous n' y retournerons certainement pas .

Außenanlage, sehr stilvoll künstlerisch gestaltet und gepflegt. Großzügige Schatten Parkplätze. Komfortables Zimmer. Hervorragende Küche, kreativer Koch.

hôtel de charme très pittoresque tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur: intérieur provençal très coquet et de bon goût, les parcs, les jardins fleuris ... un ensemble qui contribue au calme et à la sérénité. sans oublier l'accueil très convivial du personnel et les plats savoureux du chef cuisinier.

Accueil Chambre repas

Hotel très agréable avec beaucoup de charme, au calme dans un beau Parc. Chambre meublée avec goût disposant d'une terrasse agréable. Personnel aimable sans être envahissant. Nourriture (matin et soir) d'un bon rapport qualité prix. Possibilité de souper le soir dans le jardin.

- Notre chambre communiquait avec une autre chambre et était seulement séparée par une simple porte, tout ce qui disait et se faisait était audible. -L'eau dans la douche stagnait en permanence (mauvais écoulement) ce qui générait une odeur désagréable d'humidité. - Attention à la propreté des pisicines : l'une était trouble, l'autre remplie d'insectes et branchages.

Het vriendelijke onthaal, de zalige rust en de knusse hoekjes in de tuin...

Wij hadden gezegd dat we rond zeven uur 's morgens zouden vertrekken en de code van het toegangshek was ons niet verteld! Daar stonden we dan en het ontbijt wordt pas vanaf acht uur geserveerd!
