Escale Oceania Saint Malo

The best hotel I stayed in during my trip to Normandy/Brittany. The staff were very polite and spoke perfect English, all facilities were modern and clean, and the sea view and great sea-food restaurant across the street made my stay at Escale Oceania unforgettable!

The only thing I missed was airconditioning

Convenient location and reasonably priced. Family room available and suitable for a short stay such as ours (1 night).

Family room may be less suitable for young children, due to steep stairs

Room with sea view, perfect sea restaurant just across the street, do not pay for hotel parking (15 ђ per day), there are a lot of free parking space around hotel

Small room as usual in france, air condition will be appropriate

The hotel was very conveniently situated and the rooms modern, very clean and comfortable, great bathroom, comfortable bed and plenty of nearby free parking The staff were friendly and efficient

Limited storage in room

The breakfast was very good. newspapers provided. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

the bedroom smely of smoke when we arrived. We had to open all windows to clear the smell.

we liked the standard of the rooms and the cleanliness. The decor was lovely especially the bathroom. The staff were welcoming and efficient.

We had booked a family room which was changed to a double and a twin. This would not have been so bad if the 2 rooms we were allocated were not sited between the lift and the service room. There was constant noise all through the night from some kind of generator and from the lift intermitently. At about 4.

Very pleasant welcome from receptionist. It has 24 hr reception. We could park immediately outside or anywhere on the road without paying and apparently it is a non-problem area, so felt safe to leave belongings in the car. There was an excellent Restaurant opposite. Very new hotel. Reasonable breakfast in pleasant room.

Downside only was that the rooms were across the garden in a separated building and to get to breakfast in bad weather would have been not very pleasant and wind-blown I imagine.

Reasonably priced, very clean, nice to have a hair dryer, excellent shower, proximity to town and beach.

Friendly welcome. Good room with excellent en suite bathroom and wonderful shower. Good aspect.

We turned up, admittedly early, for our room and were told it would be ready at noon. Unfortunately the receptionist had not passed the message to prepare the room on to the cleaner, so we had another 30/40 minutes wait.

The beds were comfortable and the shower magnificent. Only a short walk to the old town. Ideal hotel for a short stay.

The cost, far too expensive. It was very poor value for money compared with hotels in other parts of France and it was room only, no breakast. Very small room
