Value for money breakfast
No restuarant but plenty in area
Staff very welcoming and helpful.
15 minute walk from the city centre and nothing around for a meal and a drink except the brasserie du Sillon which is certainly not the place I would recommend for a meal. The hotel needs to be refurbished. Room didn't look at all like what we can see on the website.
Clean Bed was comfortable Sofa bed in room to accommodate our 4yr old Lovely helpful reception staff Fluent English speaking
Our room was at the top of the rear building of the hotel with sloping ceilings which was tricky getting 4 yr old in and out of bed without banging my head edging around the side of he bed. Our room was right next to the lift so was noisy whenever the lift was used.
Our room was right next to the lift which was quite a noisy clunking machine during all hours (Saturday night)
The view The breakfast
Standing up in our bedroom to see the view!! Rude staff on arrival. Poor public areas. Average décor A hanging rail for a wardrobe
Good location only a few minutes walk from the walled city. Secure parking for bicycle in garage. Breakfast was OK. Friendly staff.
I have stayed in the family rooms on the upper floor previously which were fine however on this occasion I had a room on the first floor which was extremely noisy due to the scraping of chairs from the bar/restaurant below and the constant traffic noise from the busy road below. Also it was very warm (September heat wave) and there was no air conditioning in the room. Not a good night's sleep.
everything especially the cleanliness
it was all good
We had booked a family room with sea view and it was lovely. Clean and tidy with a super view of the beach (our room was at the top of the hotel.) Great communication via e-mail with the hotel before our stay regarding parking. Good breakfast which was served from 6.30am handy as we were getting the ferry home. An easy walk into the town and a lovely end to our holiday.
Excellent Hotel, close to old city and directly opposite the beach.
We stayed here one night before catching the ferry and I can certainly recommend it for that. If you're staying in St Malo for much longer, you might prefer a place nearer the old town centre.
best breakfast for the price compared to several other hotels on our trip.
size of room, but that is typical of France unless you are prepared to dig very deep in your pockets. garage fee a bit pricey.
It's position, facing the beautiful beach yet a very short walk to the intra-Muros Terrific breakfast Safe, free parking around the hotel Excellent showers Comfortable beds
We loved the sea view and going to sleep with the sound of the waves crashing on the beach we didn't want to leave.
Pleasant sea front hotel. Rooms were clean and adequate. We needed a ground floor room which was provided. If we had asked for a sea view it would have been beautiful . Staff were helpful. Lovely 15 minute walk to the old town. There are a few restaurant very close or nearby.
No tea and coffee making facilities in the room
the room had everything we needed. the staff were helpful and friendly and we would defiantly go there again.
Room too small
Right in front of the sea, a couple minutes from the city's main area.
The room for 3 people was a bit small.
Room size was fair and had a loft where the children slept.
Window in loft wold not open. Asked serval staff if it could be opened and noone did. So very stuffy. Also, our room was next to the elevator so starting around 6 am could hear it going up and down.
having the childrens beds in a seperate area was good as they could go to bed and the adults could stay downstairs undistrurbed
stairs to the childrens area were very steep and my children are 8 & 10 and I was a little concerned about them coming down to use the loo at night. Also the velux windows open fully - no restrictions - watch out as the sea view is fromthe childrens area and my son was very keen to lean out!!
Good Location. Parking easy (round back). 15 min stroll to main walled town.
The view over the beach and the sea. The room was very comfortable end extremely quiet. Easy access to the beach
A nightmare, but staff changed our room, this had to be done at 3am..Second night noise from guests in courtyard/garden. Breakfast produce mediocre
Staff attitude, comfy beds and cleanliness.
Noisy seagulls on dustbins in morning.
Convenience to ferry port, Intra Muros and beach. Family room is ideal with children sleeping upstairs.
