The staff were very helpful and pleasant during my stay.
The room was very small and it had no safe. I wouldn't recommend a long stay. There were people outside my door talking very loudly in the morning. I didn't need an alarm clock.
Checking in was easy, the attendant was friendly, and the location was close enough to walk to plenty of cafes and the Seine.
No smoking in rooms
small room very bad WIFI
The room was clean and tidy, the staff were excellent and friendly. Was a 2 minute walk to the nearest metro station. Located in the right place for links to anywhere you fancied. mc donalds, starbucks and a supermarket within walking distance. Perfect place for a few days away.. Free wifi so we were able to keep in contact with home via skype.
The carpets were stained in the hallway. No coffee making facilities. Bathroom door had no lock and was just a frosted sheet of glass. The shower head wouldn't stay up and when the shower was on got water all over the floor. Which I wasnt too pleased with.
great location near metro stops, rue Mouffetarde, cafes, pantheon etc. Room is small but fine with really comfortable bed and good clean bathroom. Reception staff were helpful and most spoke some English. Good value for money.
wi-fi only worked in reception lobby
good location, near Metro and buses, staff friendly, very clean.
Very small room and bathroom, typical I guess of Paris hotels.
Effective air conditioning - bliss in ahumid heatwave.
Hopeless wifi. Haven't come across bandwidth like this since I was in Sierra Leone - ridiculous in a developed country like France. Breakfast a bit packaged. Dispappointing to find chewy mass produced bread when you come to Paris looking forward to crusty fresh baguettes.
Nothing, it was filthy and as small as a caravan.
We rejected the first room they put us in, as there was immediately the stench of mould from the bathroom. The room should have been reported to the health authorities. The shower was tiny, the breakfast was the worst we had in all of our travels. We left early and were charged a penalty which is now under despite with VISA. The staff were awful, unfriendly and just being there was too much effort for them.
EXTRA SMALL ROOM. MINI SHOWER STALL
The beds are large, all is very clean.
The rooms are very small, just enough room for the bed, side tables and a writing desk.
It's located just by the metro of line 7, very convenient to go to the sites. The persons at the reception are helpful. There is also a Chinese restaurant near by.
The room next to each other can hear the sounds.
clean, functional, modern room even if small but fine for one person. People working there nice and also the lobby of the hotel was nice and modern. Location very pleasant and walking distance to Pantheon
clean and comfortable
the room size is really small, I cannot open my suitcase.
Good room for 2twinbeds. Clean. Good shower. Could use more than 2 towels
The location is amazing. Close to the metro station and about a 15 min walk from the Notre Dame.
The air conditioning was broken which made it really uncomfortably hot to try and sleep at night.
Being close to the Metro and various restaurants. Communication was a problem but we got through it.
That one day our room wasn't cleaned because the maid was getting off from work early that particular day and that the rooms weren't able to be equipped to accommodate a small refrigerator.
The location is perfect, in the beautiful Latin Quarter and close to the metro. Walking distance from Sorbonne, Luxemburg prac, Panteon etc. Thought the room was small the bathroom was big enougn (with a bathtub) and well maintained. The toiletries provided were of L'Occitane brand which I like so that was nice :)
Very, very small and basic room. They could improve it with some decorations at least. There is free wi-fi but at times connection was very slow. No mirror in the room, only the half size one in the bathroom. The breakfast was too basic for 10 euro! I just took it on te first day, and then decided to have breakfasts at nearby cafés (which are plenty and very nice) for the rest of my stay.
The location is excellent (right across from a Metro stain), and the facilities were quite clean. The overall aesthetic was quite charming (although see some pretty major caveats in the 'didn't like' section).
The wifi was spotty at best. The walls were covered in this sort of squishy fake leather covering, and on one corner there were finishing nails or staples sticking out where this was coming apart (I almost ended up with a bloody hand). And the shower head is mounted just above the level of the tub, making a shower rather more complicated and difficult than it should be. This alone would prevent me from staying here again.
Very convenient location to the Metro station. Lots of Nearby restaurants and street shops.
Could be noisy at night. Very small quarters.
A neat and tidy little hotel ideally situated and very friendly staff. The creperie opposite is very good too ;-)
Location very close to metro station and bus stop
Extremely small room and shower base. Dirty rooms. Wi-fi very slow, impossible to use. Breakfast poor quality.
Good Location Friendly Staff
Too small rooms Too small double bed
The staff was the best part about the Hotel Maxim. When I asked about checking out the following morning, they went one step further and informed me that there was a train strike happening that weekend, then they made sure to find me transportation to the airport by some other means. The hotel itself is very clean and neat, and your room has all the amenities you need, including Wi-Fi, a full bathroom, and a spacious built-in for clothes.
Rather than paying 9 euros each morning, I wish the breakfast would've been complimentary. I'm not sure though if complimentary breakfast is more of an American hotel custom, so I shrink from completely holding it against them.
Excellent location with lots of restaurants nearby and very close to the metro.
Room was a tad on the small side.
Staff members were very friendly and helpful. They all spoke English quite well. Metro station close by. Supermarket and fruit shop just up the road. We enjoyed our stay, thank you. In general, we found the French people to be very helpful and positive towards us as foreigners.
Mind the step when you get out of the lift. Bad odour in the bathroom, probably coming through the shower outlet.
