This was the worst stay in a hotel from my life, and I stayed in more than 100 hotels from 25 countries, from 5 stars hotels with spa, to hostels and guesthouses.
I stayed in the hotel for a week, with a group of friends and family, for one of the most important events of my life. I stayed in a very small room, in a mansard, where the door of the bathroom could be open only by moving the bed, and having a tiny shower. I considered it a new experience, which became step by step awful. Four days in the room, without opening the window – it was blocked. The first two days (weekend) I was woken up by the hoover early in the morning. On Sunday morning, the made entered in the room at about 8 am, without knocking the door and stepped out without any excuse. I did not complained about the room, but a few days later, when I had to switch the room for a double, I asked not to give that room to any person of my group. But one friend had it, and we asked for other room. They offered me the next day a double room, for more money, and we had to accept.
They blocked me a few hundred euros on my card, and I agreed with one of the employees to pay all the rooms and unblock the card. So, I paid cash more than 1000 euros, and I expected to unblock the money. I received a handmade receipt for that money. This was a few days before the check out. But later the manager explained me that his employee – not his colleague, he insisted - made a mistake. Every day, the manager recalculated the amount due. I spent every day about an hour with that.
A day before the checkout, the manager insisted to recalculate AGAIN the amount to be paid (we had to pay 2 breakfasts left and the amount they already blocked), but I had things to do in the city in that very moment, so I told him that when I will be back, I will check and count the money of the reservations that I keep in my room, and I will pay the difference. THE MANAGER ORDERED ME: NOW!
