Hotel Mercure Blois Centre    

The location is very good - very close to all the places of interest. The room is rather comfortable, very clean, functional. One can find everything in the room (tea, coffee, refrigerator) for a small breakfast if he does not want to pay 15 Euros for the restaurant. We liked our stay in the hotel.

The location is perfect - on the embankment of Loire in the city centre. Free parking not far from the hotel. Good restaurant.

I can say good things only. Main advantages - location, clearness, polite staff and the most nice feature for russian travelers - there was a kettle for tea over there - a pleasure to drink hot tea every evening! By the way, it is easy to reach some Loire's castles using the car. We've seen fife of them for a day.

Excellence hospitality upon arrival, excellence room, clean, serene (quiet), excellence breakfast menu served at the restaurant. Restaurant staff are excellence in service too.

Little bit disappointed of spa: sauna was not hot and water in jacuzzi was a bit cold.

The Room, ensuite, the staff were all extremely polite and friendly. Everything about the hotel was top class.

We specifically chose this hotel because of the Spa facility. As it turned out it was somewhat disappointing especially for a 4 star. We would have expected a staffed reception area with towels supplied. On the contrary you just walked directly into a changing area. When we arrived the Sauna and Steam room were both off with the doors open. We pushed buttons on control units outside both and got them going but we had to wait for them to heat up. There was an empty footbath on the way back to the pool which was quite dangerous as the tiles were the same colour as the surrounding floor and both of us stumbled, my wife wrenching her back. We saw the same happen to other guests. The Jacuzzi was in a different section and we found it when we looked around a corner. It could have been hotter. Overall, a bit basic.

Rooms smart and clean with security box, refridgerator, tea making equipment, and comfortable beds. Excellent soundproofing. Working air conditioning Good dining facilities, even at weekends!! Secure underground parking

Prices on the high side

The location was excellent for cafes, restaurants and blois castle. Lovely walk by river across road. Parking good and secure. There were plenty of spaces when we arrived. We booked for 3 and upgraded to 4 person suite - adult bedroom and ensuite bathroom upstairs with son downstairs with 2nd toilet. Free soft drinks, coffee machine. Balcony there but noisy. Rooms appear sound proof and beds really comfy. We stayed an extra night because good location for various chateaux. Restaurant excellent and reasonably priced.

Swimming pool a bit small and mixed changing room. Maybe an age thing!!

The staff was very helpful and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The spa and swimming pool were very good. Free public parking is available across the street. Located so that visiting the countryside chateaus is easy. The restaurant served excellent evening meals.

Close to city centre. Covered parking (albeit at €8 a day). Fairly spacious rooms with air conditioning. Impressive atrium which also doubles as a bar/lunchroom area.

This is a 3-star hotel posing as a 4-star hotel. Staff appear to be largely young people on work experience and have little idea of customer service. On arrival, they only found one of our prepaid bookings and I had to pay under protest for the second room. They found the second room booking later and gave me a refund (but this set the tone). We ate in the restaurant the evening we arrived. It was fairly mediocre, although my wife enjoyed her steak. Note: real 4-star hotels don't use paper tablecloths and paper napkins. Breakfast on our first day (Sunday) was chaotic. When we arrived (1 hour before end of service), there was no clean, set table available. Most tables were unoccupied but still covered in used crockery and the six staff on duty seemed to be largely ineffectual in clearing up. Nobody acknowledged us. After we accosted a staff member, he hastily cleared a table for us and threw some crockery and cutlery on it. He brought a thermos of stewed, lukewarm coffee and some milk (at least warm). There were no plates (these arrived later). The orange squeezing machine was out of oranges (and often refused to start anyway). There was little bread left. Obviously the hotel was too busy for the staff to cope. The following day was better (less busy) but, on requesting more coffee (9:30, 30 mins before end of service) I was told that there was no more coffee (I was directed to a Nespresso machine). The following day they ran out of oranges (again). Pathetic. The full day rate for this hotel is €235 (not including breakfast). I'm glad I got a cheap deal.

Excellent location for visiting most beautiful castles on Loire valley. Close to city center, bike routes and free parking.

Everything was good or very good. I would have liked some vegetables for breakfast, which was actually very rich in fresh fruits, cheese croissants, etc and included also some bio products

Friendly, helpful staff (inc the manager): good facilities, secure parking on site. Clean, light, modern rooms.

Location was good as we were using the hotel for a one night stopover - it was easy to get there from the motorway.

No private parking available when we arrived. We were told we could not park in front of the hotel as it was forbidden, however may other cars were parked there. Instead we were encouraged to use the free public parking across the road from the hotel. Fuel was stolen from our car during the night. We chose to eat at the hotel, as the menu looked good. However we felt the meals were not of a good quality.
