My room at the Royal Emeraude was small but perfectly formed. Nice design furniture, a comfortable bed and a very clean bathroom. I should have spent my entire stay there. The staff were also very polite and helpful. Can't speak for all the other rooms, but in mine, you had to hold the shower head in your hand if you wanted to an all over shower. It was a very contemporary bathroom with modern features, so not sure why they didn't add a little holder for the shower head... very odd! Breakfast was not included and cost something like €19 or there about. In my view, every hotel in the world should include tea or coffee and a croissant/pastry in the price of the room. If anyone requires more then they can charge whatever they want.

This is a nice hotel very close to the seafront. Rooms were spotless, staff helpful (English spoken for those who don't speak much French) and location for both seafront walks and nearby restaurants excellent. Would I stay again, probably because its close to everything that's nice about Dinard, a great weekend retreat or stopover on the way to the ferry at St Malo or Cherbourg. Even though it's a stone's throw from the beach there are no sea views. Breakfast is served at the hotel but is pretty basic and not really worth the price. Car parking is expensive in the hotel garage but spaces are available on the street outside, if you can find a spot,

The bathroom was nice. The quality of the linen was good. Bed was comfortable. The room was small, with small windows, decorated in dark colours and with inadequate lighting. The view from the window was a very large corrugated tin roof. For the price I was expecting a far superior room and a more luxurious hotel. The service at breakfast was poor - it took over half an hour to get 2 poached eggs, which came as boiled eggs. On top of the exorbitant price for the room they had the cheek to charge for wifi access.

Well renovated hotel, with very helpful staff. The room could have been slightly larger to allow space for suitcases, especially since it was classed as 'superior', but this is a minor detail considering the overall comfort provided. Breakfast could be much better considering the price; although this is a usual situation in many hotels in France. The alternative is to use one of the cafe's nearby, which is no problem.

The staff was exceptional: very friendly and attentive. The room was quite nice and my wife really liked the quality of sheets and towels. The shower was wonderful: lots of hot water and pressure. Our room was next to the street so we had a little noise from workers on the street unloading supplies. Probably nothing the hotel could do about that though.

Excellent location in Montmarte, bars/restaurants 2 minute walk away.Public parking within 500 meters at 21 euros a day very acceptable. Room was recently renovated with decent finishing and was small but good. Staff was not very helpful/interested (Parisien school of customer services) . Tried ordering a Taxi but gave up in the end. Lobby of hotel is old and tired (whereas rooms are fine). It was very hot in the Easter weekend but airco did not work. Hotel Staff told us the airconditioning was only switched on in summer (!!). Not a 4 star hotel and not great value for money.
