Overlooking the Old Port, the Grand Tonic Hotel is located in the heart of Marseille. It offers modern air conditioned rooms with a Mediterranean restaurant and port views.
Score from 680 reviews Good
This Mercure Hotel is next to the WTC convention building, the Jardin des Vestiges and is just a 5-minute walk from the Vieux-Port. It has air-conditioned accommodations with free Wi-Fi access.
Score from 775 reviews Very good
The InterContinental Marseille-Hotel Dieu is in a superb 18th century building in the historic quarter of Marseille, a stone’s throw from the old port.
Score from 776 reviews Wonderful
Lovely ambience, lovely staff. Position perfect for strolling around the Port and access to the Metro. Room not large, but comfortable and quiet.
view, location,superiority of hotel
Location; cleanliness; friendly staff. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
decoration of the rooms
I arrived around 6pm and my room was not ready, though check-in time was announced 12 o'clock... Wi-Fi is terrible in this place
great location (right next to metro) clean hotel comfortable beds great and helpful staff a lot of restrains around and of course a port with a lot of entreatment all day
Everything. it was very central.
Very convenient location, room well sound proofed otherwise would have been noisy, excellent unobtrusive climate control.
No wifi in our room, although it could be accessed in public areas. Poor response from reception manager ' what do you expect in an old hotel with thick walls etc' . Wifi access was one of my bottom lines in all hotels booked on this trip around France, this was the first disappointing booking - as well as more than twice the price of previous bookings.
Wow, great location, wifi & breakfast!
Lovely view of the old port Nice bath staff were friendly Comfy bed Bar area was nice
Drinks in the bar area seemed overpriced
it was quiet & calm with helpful staff
The view from our hotel room it looked over the harbour
The fantastic location and room with sea (old port) view with traditional old furniture yet modern equipment, the flexible staff.
This hotel is in a fantastic location for exploring Marseille whether on foot, by bus or by sea. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Valet car parking, so no worries trying to find a car park etc. An evening drink in the bar overlooking the port is a recommended treat. The room was comfortable, nicely appointed, and included tea and coffee making facilities!
The view from the 'courtyard' room was disappointing but this was a minor point. Breakfast is a bit pricey, we went to a local cafe instead.
We loved the location which was so close to the beautiful bay and all the attractions that we wished to visit. Also very close to restaurants and shops. From a convenience point of view, it is one of the best hotels in which we have ever stayed. The staff were really friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room had a wonderful view of the bay. It was well furnished and comfortable and had everything one needed such as a safe, bar fridge and very good, large TV.
The room was small without too much space for suitcases but this may be standard value in Europe - not sure how it would compare with hotels of equal price in other European cities. Lounge and drinks areas were very comfortable
Close to everything. Very convenient.( Bus station & metro across the street w a beautiful view from my room and in the heart of Marseille)
I loved the spacious, cozy antique filled rooms. The bathrooms were fabulous and the staff was super friendly and helpful!
Excellent location and a fabulous view
We arrived after 2 pm. The receptionist informed us that the room was not ready. I told him that it was not our problem. If such situation happened in Italy( which I am sure would not happened) the guest would be offered at least a complimentary drink. Unfortunately the service and hospitality in France are not as good as in Italy for example.
spacious room, interesting furniture, excellent breakfast, exceptionally courteous doorman, splendid location
can't think of anything
Centrality of hotel, The road to multiculturalism in Marseille, Friendliness of people of Marseille
The price of food and drink in and around Vieux Port
I liked the location.
I had bites all over my face. When I complained to the front desk they told me that would inform the manager. However, the manager denied that there was a problem. Once I left there I had no further bites.
Good location and excellent service.Recommend it to honeymoon
The location is central to old port and metro is very near too. You can enjoy fantastic views and good food without travelling too far. Pls get sea view rooms to get the best out of this hotel.
The hotel was old and wifi in some rooms was not working.
great location on Marseille harbour. breakfast is good. our afternoon bar man was very helpful with some tips on good places to eat
rooms badly need refurbing and wifi reception is poor and almost non existent at times. rooms are hot and need to open the windows at night and it is noisy around the harbour at night
Great spot. Very central and clean. Really interesting history to the hotel and each room. Great Staff. Nice breakfast. Our loft was very funky and comfortable. Cool little bar/lounge overlooking the port...
Poor wifi in our room but not a big deal as we were there to see the city and the sites, not be on our devices...
