Location, Location, Location..returned rental car ...hopped on TGV..and the local buses..staff was the most helpful..would stay again. Very nice rooms...Great hotel for visiting Lyon!!

We stayed in 7 other hotels in Paris and in other areas of France, and for it's price range the Mecure was outstanding.

That we only had one night in such a comfortable hotel.

The room was nicely furnished and well renovated. Big bathroom with separate wc. Nice location near the train station, perfect if you need to spend a night or two while travaling through France

The room interior was beautiful and spacious. In addition to the room, the bathroom had modern fixtures. We were surprised that the restaurant had a spanish influenced menu. The food was delicious and of very high quality. The restaurant staff were very attentive. If we visit Lyon again, we would definitely dine there.

The room was large and clean, very good equipped. Staff was so friendly and helpful. The restaurant is so cosy and the food served is delicious. Location is excellent for the travellers by train.

Fantastic ! Very well designed hotel in modern purpose built building. Excellent sound proofing - 25 minute walk to old Lyon. Conveniently located 100 meters from train station. Comfortable bed. Separate bathroom to toilet. Small cooler for food and drinks if you want to self- cater. Great shopping plaza nearby. An all-round super deal that I would highly recommend to anyone.

Some may not like the 25 minute walk to city but there is tram and bus 30 meters away for a quick ride into town.

A modern, clean well-run hotel which met all our requirements. The room was pleasantly quiet and gave the impression of luxury - very nice indeed. The hotel is right next to a number of car rental agencies and the Part Dieu railway station. A 30 minute walk will bring you to the Lyon's pleasant shopping area, but there is also a bus and tram station just across the street.

Clean, modern, large room that is well located at the Lyon Part Dieu train station which provides easy access to all parts of the city. Sound-proofed rooms also meant it was very quiet in the hotel despite of the location next to the station.

Plastic cups instead of glasses in the room.

Next to trainstation. Rooms are sound proof for outside traffic.

Worst thing was that every morning the cleaning staff totally disregarded the do not disturb signs. First morning I was in the bathroom and they just entered after knocking one time. Second morning they just continued knocking on the door until I opened. Breakfast was very small considering the price they charge for it. During checkout I felt I was talking to a robot who did not really care about my stay...

We found this hotel to be great in all areas. Best bed we have slept in out of 19 we have slept in in 18 months.

Efficient and comfortable, a good basic hotel with the essentials, very close to the train station and not too far from the centre

Hotel located nearby the TGV station in city centre, however about 15-20mins by foot from the old part of the city of Lyon.

A lovely hotel and one of the best rooms we've ever stayed in. Huge bed & shower and our son loved the widescreen tv. Staff were efficient and courteous, location is ultra convenient for the city and the Rhone Express stops right outside. Apart from a little noise from the main train station which wasn't a problem at all with the windows closed the hotel is perfect for a city break in Lyon. We would highly recommend this hotel

Best location for getting anywhere, especially Lyon airport. Close to shopping and restaurants, lovely buffet breakfast, free wifi, helpful reception staff. Smoker friendly.

Everyone was friendly, easy to get to and the room was lovely.

It has no fitness centre - A gym would be very good.

I was in the standard room but the room space is surprisingly large. Great location, just besides tgv rail station.

1. all rooms without bathtub 2. the hand washer was run out and wan't filled up when we got into the room.

Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Plus they were very quiet. Despite being right next to the elevator we couldn't hear any noise. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was a bit average. There was a big deal about organic food but only a tiny section with these options. Needed more towels in the room - 2 towels for 3 people is not enough. Housekeeping delivered extras very quickly however.
