Mercure Nice Grimaldi

Great location in the center of the city, very close to restaurants, shopping, museums, old city. bus station, sea. Excellent breakfast. Large clean room.

Noise from the street aroun midnight, mayby empting dumsters.

Great location. 3 minute walk from the city centre, shopping mall, beach, and bus stop that takes you to airport in 20min.

Airconditioning in room was rattling all night and staff weren't interested in fixing it. Some staff were rude, particularly the breakfast staff who keep an eye on guests to make sure they don't take a croissant or banana out of the room.

the breakfast was excellent aided by good staff.the reception was well manned and efficent and the bedroom staff the best

it is not that disliked the bar but i thought it was not well used and there was no ecouragement to use itby the hotel .

Bar was a bit poor.

It was very close to the main promenade , bus & train stations. The superior room was very modern & comfortable. Price was very reasonable & staff were pleasant & helpful. Breakfast selection was very satisfactory

the first night I stayed in one of the rooms that had not been updated. It was very small but just fine and very clean. The best part of that room was a wonderful balcony. Upon my second return I stayed in one of the updated rooms, which was stylish and comfortable. The modest lobby does do the hotel justice. The staff was very friendly and the close location to shopping and coastline was fantastic. The train station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel as well. An easy walk if you don't have a lot of luggage. I would definitely stay there again.

It was close to restaurants & shopping ( tourist center). Decent value given size of the room (lots of space) and location. Would caution that it is, however, further away from Old Nice where the better restaurants are.

Room was somewhat shabby in that the carpeting was faded, the a/c worked but not very well (didn't get cooler than a set temperature regardless of what we set the thermostat to), the paint was peeling off some walls.

Polite friendly & very helpful staff. A reasonable breakfast. Excellent location for 2 minute walk to city centre & 10 minute walk to the train station

The room itself was a disgrace, very old decour, dirty carpets & walls, cobwebs, dust. electronic security box secured to wardrobe ply board by two screws ( only thing keeping it up was the wall. No storage draws. The room hasn't even been built square. We saw several Mercures around the city and this one definately looked the worse from outside so i suggest they may be a safer bet.

Compared to a lot of the other establishments we used in Nice where the staff were not so friendly, the staff of the Mercure Nice Grimaldi were most helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great too.

Bathroom was big and clean. Room was standard size, standard furniture. Stuff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is well positioned near rue Massena (shopping restaurants) and very close (10m walk) to Vieux Nice. Around the corner there is a bus stop where you can take busses to Cannes, Antibes, Grasse and other cities. Probably the location is the best asset of this hotel

For a short trip it was really ok

Really excellent staff, free save box in the room (and easy to use!), coffee machine and free refrigerator in the room, excellent location very close to everything in the city, cheap alternative (7 euros, in the bar) to their expensive full breakfast (16 euros). I stayed very well.

Just a little bit old the furniture in the room.

Convenience for Promenade - five minutes walk to bus stop for airport shuttle. Variety of restaurants in vicinity which would suit all budgets.
