Situated in Rennes City Centre, Hôtel Anne De Bretagne offers comfortable accommodations near the old city and its cafes and restaurants. It offers free Wi-Fi in the entire hotel.
Score from 430 reviews Excellent
The location was convenient.
The carpets were well worn. No drawers in the bedroom. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. No onsite gym/sauna etc - nowhere near as good as the Mecure hotel at home.
The staff are amazing and helpful. They all spoke english and couldn't do enough to help.
Went for room upgrade I hate to think what the standard are like
Superior rooms were spacious. Very very close to center.
Location in the city centre. Helpfull staff.
Really cold in the bathroom. Really.
The location is excellent
Pretty tired overall. The bed was very creaky and not very comfortable. Coffee in the room was for one person only and no milk, uht or otherwise.
Our corner room was spacious with a nice view over the square outside. I loved the fact that they have kept their old style windows but have double-glazed them for good sound-proofing. The location was excellent to explore the old city and the cathedral.
One of our rooms was not ready and despite being a non-smoker had been smoked in; the next room offered the bathroom floor, which had been cleaned, still had hair on it. The replacement room was not as good as our corner room but still cost the same. The breakfast would have been the most expensive of our 2-week trip if we had chosen to eat there.
Good city centre location and parking facilities.
Handy for Tourist Information office, restaurants and old town.
Not hotels fault of course, but currently (mid July) surrounded by road works. Makes navigating to it with a sat nav interesting. They have limited car parking on site and if you need to use the underground parking be careful of the tight bends. Much easier getting out.
breakfast : very poor
Nearby the City center, railway station, metro.
We spent 2 nights in Rennes as part of a touring holiday to France in 2014. The hotel is well-placed in the centre of the city and relatively easy to find (sat-nav was helpful), but on reaching reception then had to go round the block again (one-way system) to access the underground car park (very convenient, but at a cost). Large room in reasonable condition with large en suite - a workman came in during our stay to replace the mastic around the bath. Well-priced location in the centre of Rennes in easy walking distance of everything you'd want to see. I would certainly recommend this as a base to explore the city.
Nothing really. Not a complaint - my French is 'reasonable', but at no stage did any of the staff offer to supply a 'missing word' (and I found this in Rennes centre as well), so someone with a basic knowledge might struggle?
Had no issues regarding anything and have no complaints about anything. Would happily stay there again.
Staff friendly and it was a closed in car park
Breakfast was quite dear
Clean Room and bathroom, lots of hot water, friendly hotel staff, easy to walk republic center, wifi
rooms were too cold
The Location was good for the centre and old town.
The hotel was let down by poor furnishing and cleaning, the bath and shower were good but enamel was missing. Carpets were past there best etc. It would not be my choice again.
The gentleman on reception was helpful and courteous. The bedroom was bright, well decorated and furnished.
The reception area was tired and uninteresting. There was no incentive to spend time in the public areas.
Lovely view over the heart of the city. Friendly helpful staff, very good breakfast, overall good value. Feel of an elegant, old city centre building but pleasantly modernised.
Superb beds. Secure parking.
Difficult to access wifi. Buffet breakfast very expensive and mediocre. Hotel has 3 other ones with Mecure name in it. Difficult entrance to find for parking.
