Friendly and efficient support from the ladies on the desk got us into our room quickly and with no hassle. They also provided useful information which enhanced our stay. It was nice to have hot drinks available in the room, more milk would be good. The hotel was quiet despite the number of occupants, making it restful too. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. The street sign-posts for the hotel were helpful when navigating in a strange town, It would have been good to have advance notice about approaching by car, especially the automatic road blocker. We thought we couldn't enter that way and drove all the way round to the other side.

Nice sized room and reasonable price for the location. Breakfast is nice too. Difficult to find with your car, you need to know that you must enter the one-way system in Rue Arsins - then it is simple to find!

Location Style of room Friendly, helpful staff Very difficult to find - took us an hour of driving up and down and round and round! Restuarant closed for the night we stayed (between Xmas and New Year) Had to go out in the pouring rain after driving for 7 hours

Clean room, good facilities, plenty of space for an extra bed for our 12 year old daughter so we did not feel cramped. And an excellent location. Our daughter was cold in bed - perhaps she needed more or better covers.

The hotel is located in the centre of Rouen and is well located for shops and restaurants. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable and the staff are helpful and speaK good english. Although the hotel is centrally located, it is very difficult to find. The location is in the middle of an area involving narrow streets and pedestrians only. Unless you are a local, access is almost impossible. We had to park almost half a mile away!!! An access map and instructions on how to find the hotel would be useful

This was the first time we had stayed at a Mercure hotel but it won't be the last. We could not fault any of the staff they were all efficient, freindly & helpful. We stayed in a superior room & although not big it did not feel small. The one way traffic in Rouen made it difficult to get to the hotel, but you get there in the end!! The car park under the hotel made life easier & when we checked out in the morning we were allowed to leave the car there while we went shopping.

Literally in the shadow of Rouen Cathedral this comfortable efficient and reasonably economical hotel couldn't be more convenient for a sight- seeing visit to Rouen and the Seine valley. The fact that the hotel has a basement car park is a real plus, but even a medium sized car (E.G. a bmw 3 series) is a tight fit on the steep ramps and tight corners.

Excellent central location. Easy walking to places in old city. Very comfortable quiet room. We were there on a Sunday in October. Although a no smoking room, it smelt of smoking. One-way streets around hotel can confuse sat navs. But we got there ok and parked in the hotel's underground car park

It is very useful for visit Rouen because all is very close. Very good breakfast with a lot of choise. Not very easy to reach with car and the parking inside is too narrow to move. In complex the location is excellent and the price also. Good choise.

Our room was very clean and comfortable, a mirror in the main room near to an electric socket would of been useful. The main reason we go to France is for the beautiful food, unfortunately the breakfast is quite expensive and we were very disappointed with powdered scrambled eggs! They said they do not have the facilities to fry an egg, which was very surprising. Make sure you have car insurance if you use the hotel carpark.

Location is very good. The hotel is located behind the cathedral just as the nome mentioned. I think this hotel is most modernized among the hotels in this city. Room service is not convenient in terms of both the range of selection and working hours.

The Mercure Rouen Centre Cathedrale hotel suited our needs perfectly. Whilst the sign posting could have been a bit better, we found the hotel with minimal difficulty. Parking the car was an interesting experience but anyone with a driving licence should be able to do it without any trouble - it is just about spacial awareness ! The staff were friendly, accommodating and were more than happy to meet our needs. All in all a splendid stay. We would return without any hesitation

The situation was excellent for wandering around. Carparking was a bonus but have to say the carpark was a little daunting to get in and out of. The reception staff were very helpful in telling us about places of interest round about and directing us to restaurants.

Would have been useful to have had a safe. Appreciate that it's not the hotels fault but we slept badly as we stayed on a Sat night and we woken from 2.00am 3 times by drunken lads shouting and girls screaming at the end of the road - not what we expected in a beautiful old town like Rouen.
