The Hotel Amarante Golf Plaza at Domaine du Golf is located on the Bay of Saint Tropez, in Sainte-Maxime.
Score from 239 reviews Good
Friendly staff and right on the beach.
Rooms a little small and basic but good value for money.
Location at the beach neat the harbor and resturants is perfect.
The rooms are becomming a bit worn.
The location staff friendliness and expertise plus the cleanliness overall.
The paper cups and wooden sticks on hospitality tray in room replacing cups and teaspoons. The bath was too narrow, not standard width and shower was on side wall not back of bath which made it tight when showering
Great location for beach & port
Rooms felt a bit dated.
Good location, nice pool, pool towels and bathrobes included, very nice staff but understaffed reception for a 4 star hotel. Free parking 500 m from hotel.
Breakfast buffé was not very good. Hotel in need of renovation. Very slow elevators. Key cards lost memory every day.
Staff were fantastic, always happy and willing to help and advise on things to do and the area. Very good facilities, nice bar, spa, pool. Location is very good as we used it as a base to travel along the coast. Nice beaches, shops, restaurants, bars close by overall very happy and would certainly stay again.
Gym equipment was poor, hardly anything in there but thats the only thing i can think of
staff rude & unhelpful breakfast awful & grossly over-priced pool just plain unpleasant lift's don't work properly claim there is parking available on site >>> THERE ISN'T
Werry good position for Who like The beach.
Verry bad parcking solution.
Room service very good. Pool needs updating and is full of screaming children.
Food was so so. Breakfast expensive . Free water in minibar for one night only. Drinks at reception fridge expensive.
Position and new building
Parking pay on meter twice a day
Very nice beach for those who are traveling with the kids
Location and access to beach
Ants in the room Very expensive for what it was Shower put water all over the bathroom floor Poor condition of decor on way to parking Carpet in room was old
The location was wonderful with the beach on one side and the harbor on the other. There are lots of restaurants and shops on the harbor side. Gorgeous views.
The Web site said parking was included. When we arrived we were told we needed to reserve parking and there were no spots. Sent down to the "free" beach parking, no spots. Had to keep driving till someone pulled out to get a space.
Second time we stayed and we love it,hotel is renewed, the best breakfast and choices, nice pool, gym, spa area.. good access to the beach .we definitely come back :)
Hotels rooms could be cleaner they are marks after killed moskitos and flys and need some renewal too ( toilet looks poor and the doors),and corridor on 3 floor stinks, carpet need to be change we think. otherwise perfect :)
Lack of compassion. My father died and I tried to cancel the reservation and they would not.
Location is very close to the beach, 15-20 minutes walking to the historical downtown of Fréjus, very nice walk along the coastal promenade to S.Raphael. The hotel with all the equipment seems to be nice, modern. Very nice garden, small but clean swimming pool (the photo presented here doesn´t correspond with the reality at all, we don´t understand how they did it.......).
Overcrowded breakfast area, plates refilled slowly regarding the number of people coming in same time. Staff are not speaking English and seems to be stressed when asked for anything. We booked parking but when we arrived they told us the garage was full and offered us some kind of parking for 15EUR per day. The other option was around 500metres from hotel - Base Nuture (girls at the entrance don´t speak English at all). Cleanliness was the biggest issue we had. When we firstly entered the room there were crumbs on the floor, filthy bathroom/toilet floor (housekeeping probably never heard about a mop), and the glass parts on the balcony balustrade were poured by milk or something like this, table was poured with the same - filthy... We were curious which day the housekeeping will find (it was very visible) and clean this - they didn´t for all the time. Housekeeping in the room - very basic only. They hoovered the carpet, made the bed, and refilled necessary amenities. Dirty caps etc. stayed where we left them, no interest. If you look for a good hotel with good services you probably will find better in the area.
Photos of the pool area are so nice but in reality the pool is kinda small and not that appealing.
Simple everything was ok. Nice crew, absolutely very clean accommodation, good breakfast buffet and good location. Parking for free. Recommended location for everyone
Just one little point: difficult close unloading luggage at the front door
very helpful staff!
- very friendly and helpful staff - good breakfast
- not very clean, - gym and spa are closing at 19:00, so not to be recommended for business travellers
It was not noisy , cause low season
very small rooms.
The Reception staff were very friendly and helpful,we had a great harbour/Port view from our room. The room was clean and serviced everyday. It was on the beech and easy walking to restaurants on the harbour/port.
We dined one night in the hotel restaurant, nobody could help us with the menu, we asked if they had an English version we were told no. I would have thought that a hotel like the Mecure would cater for English speaking tourists. We had to wait for a long time for our order to be taken. Nobody came near us to ask if we would like more drinks, the waiting staff were very unhelpful. The meal was very average for the money we paid. I wouldn't recommend eating in the Restaurant.
The location and view
Lack of good local places to eat close by
