We booked a double bed room, we ended up with a room with 4 beds, which was not bad ofcourse, but it was located right next to the front desk and it looked like the emergency room for the staff when they needed a nap as all the beds has different, ugly and old, bed sheets. Also, the area is not really a place you want to walk around in at night...

Breakfast was good but there was not staff to serve you, you had to serve yourself and no hot food was available. The staff were polite. The location is not for single travellers and familys and I would not go outside at night. The street outside is very noisy with people shouting, cars going past and police sirens. The rooms are not sound proof and everything can be heard from each room.

It was a clean and recently renovated hotel. It was inefficiently sound-proofed between the rooms. The shower and wc were very very very narrow.

We arrived late at the train station and got lost in Paris by asking for directions. We phoned the hotel to ask directions from the reception staff who came to meet us and take us to the hotel himself :) we stayed on two separate occasions just as a stop over before getting the train/plane to our destination. the first room was very small and next to a very loud kitchen, the second room was bigger, very comfy bed but the pipes smelt in the bathroom so using the toilet or brushing your teeth wasn't a very pleasent experience

great location just a block from metro, good places to eat nearby and very sweet staff that could accommodate my very shoddy French. the elevator was tiny, but it worked, yay. my room had a bad smell to it, old toilet in a small warm space. it was ok if I opened the windows.

The price was excellent value for money. The room was warm and comfortable. The maid service was very good; the room and bathroom was cleaned to a high standard. The location, near a station, and not from the Gare du Nord, is very good and there were plenty of good value places to eat and shops to buy everyday items from. It was quiet when we stayed there and there was an interesting ethnic mix in the area, mainly African and Indian. Everyone around there, young and old, was friendly. The breakfast was basic and I would have been willing to pay more for cooked food and more variety, as a choice if necessary.

Hotel was very close to metro station La Chapelle, what was perfect. The hotel staff was nice, but nothing special. But the room, in which we stayed first two nights was awful. It smelled there like in a public toilets and it was so small, like my dog´s- kennel. But on the third night they moved us to another room, which was big, clean, new. This room was very comfortable. P.S. Beware yourself before room no. 13. It´s disgusting.

Credit card debited before my arrival, contrary to what was indicated on the booking confirmation. Request to fill in a form with credit card details-nonsense- which I refused. Buffet breakfast, guests limited to one croissant-never have I seen this ,even in a 2-star hotel.

Close to the metro station, very friendly staff, clean room, breakfast was ok!! At the day of departure you can store your luggage there for free. It can get really noisy - thin walls!! But I think thats often a problem @ hotels in this budget-class.

good location, secure (controlled) access, clean, efficiently run, decent breakfast included in the price although correct at all times, the lady at reception could try to be a bit friendlier and perhaps even produce a smile now and then ...

“Good location and next to the Metro station. We managed to take the Metro all the way to the hotel from the Paris tgv.. If bags not big it is ok. Just be prepared for some steps along the subway. Pleasant stay and staff is helpful especially John McKenzie. ” Sharon, Petaling Jaya |
