We liked the old town but the rest of it was very down at heel and disappointing. It may be the that building work on the other side will improve the area but as we were staying in the middle of the works it was very unattractive

With only 24 hours, we only saw the old town, which is unspoilt (the most important feature for us of any destination). There were excellent traditional family run restaurants offering good traditional French food at reasonable prices. The ramparts offer a relaxing an interesting walk and the castle and cathedral a bit of culture.

Great place if you are interested in fishing, sea, seafood.
Great place if you are interested in fishing, sea, seafood. The historical city is worth a short visit. A lot of choice in restaurants and fish shops. Nice beach and waterfront sites. A part of the marina neigbourhoud is under reconstruction, the result will be very nice.

Boulogne-sur-Mer is a small but pleasant town to visit if you want to escape from the busy city life. We visited Nausicaa, the largest aquarium in Europe! It was worth the drive from Holland! That was the main reason for out trip.

The house was immaculate. It is situated in the old town and there was a lovely boulangerie round the corner. It was very quiet when we were there just before Easter. There is a free car park at the top of the street where we could leave the car overnight which was a bonus. The kitchen is well eqipped with a dishwasher and washing machine / dryer. Beds were comfortable although we missed our pillows! We could control the heaters in each room so the temperature in each room was perfect.
A beautiful boutique hotel right in the centre of the old town. The lobby, breakfast room and bedrooms are exceptional. Everything is clean and comfortable. The bedrooms are actually a suite with separate adjoined room for children, a huge bathroom (bubble bath provided) and separate toilet.
Breakfast was delicious, with everything you could want.
We were also able to have a slightly earlier check in. Very polite and helpful staff.
This has simply been... amazing! The location couldn't be better: into the gorgeous historical heart of Boulogne-Sur-Mer.
The breakfast was splendid, just perfect - delicious hand-made marmalades, authentic and local French croissants, and so much more. The house oozes history, and the host is passionate about telling you more about its history. My historical heart rarely beat this fast before.
We will definitely be back!
The apartment was very nice, well equiped, clean and spacious. The best part is its location, within the historic town which is quite amazing! It is about a 10 minute walk to the town centre.
A small downside ....The room took a long time to warm up. We went early January to Boulogne sur Mer and it was freezing temperature!
Stephanie our Agent was very helpful and always available to assist.
Lovely location in the old town, easy parking, an easy drive from Le Tunnel, safe area, key in box makes access hassle free. Apartment was clean, modern and generally well equipped. Some nice places to eat within walking distance. The view of the church and the perimeter wall from the little balcony is great. The owners provided great information and were very good at communicating.
Comfortable, very clean and nicely furnished and decorated apartment directly across from the old town. Very friendly and accommodating host, living in the same building. Easy walk to the historic center, bakeries and grocery store. Free parking nearby. Well sound-proofed with very quiet bedrooms facing the back. Great place to stay!
It is a wonderful room, located at the heart of Boulogne-sur-Mer. It is beautifully decorated with an eye for detail; the tiles in the kitchen and shower are very tasteful. We loved the floor heating in the shower. The breakfast, it was yummy. The inner courtyard is beautiful and calming. The check-in was very easy.
The Hotel De Londres is in an excellent location near both the sea and just off the main street in Boulogne. The room was neat and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. There was a small bathroom with a shower. The lady who booked us in was very friendly. Although breakfast was offered, we declined. A pleasant stay.
Top spec chambres d’hotes within the walled old town and with free parking. Our beautiful courtyard room was dog friendly as was the dining room where we enjoyed an excellent breakfast.
Perfect location, very clean and cozy/stylish decorated apartment. All comfort you need for family with kids. When we visit Boulogne sur mer again, we ll be back in this apartment :)
Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent sound proofing of the rooms from the noises outside of the hotel. Large breakfast, good cleanliness and good room & hotel equipment.
parking was great. The breakfast and restaurant were good. It was a nice surprise that the hotel is part of a shopping mall, so I got some shopping done at the Carrefour.
The location was excellent right in the centre of Boulogne just opposite the walls of the old town and within easy walking distance of the Cathedral and Chateau.
