Concierge, location and reception staff were outstanding. Very helpful and knowledgeable.
Bathroom was good-sized, clean and modern, fresh towels each day. Room was small but ok for Paris standards and very quiet. Staff very helpful and spoke English. Complimentary sweets on the bed and wine at arrival was a nice touch.
We had difficulties opening the door with the keycard and couldn't work out the best method for it. Also, the fridge didn't work properly, there was water inside it all the time. Drains run slowly, best to take the whole plug out.
Inge and her team provide an excellent standard of service - they go the extra mile to help. For a central hotel our room was a good size, light and airy. The location is excellent - easy to walk to most museums and sights, take the BatoBus etc. In addition St Germain des Pres is great area for restaurants, cafes etc.
Great location in the heart of the left bank, conveneient for all the major sights. Good breakfast, very helpful reception staff and a soacious (by Paris standards) room.
Occasional very slow wifi.
The staff was extremely helpful to me as a first time traveller to Paris. They provided wonderful restaurant recommendations and great directions for getting around the city. Also very helpful in obtaining museum tickets and car arrangements when requested, Merci!
Wonderful location, friendly staff, noiseless, perfect !
The staff is great !!!
Rooms a little dated
Large room (suite) Lovely style Location
It's all a bit very used. The carpets and furniture fabrics could do with a renewal
Location is good. Staffs are so kind.
unable to control air-conditioning temperature at all. Room's key did not work so many times(IC key).
This is our first visit to Paris and we couldn't have chosen a nicer hotel or a better location. Our third floor room was large, clean, and comfortable. The hotel accommodated us with an extra bed for our teenage son for a small extra charge. All the staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and patient. The staff helped us with directions and suggestions, and even succeeded in booking a last minute tour with a reserve pass into the Eiffel Tower, although the tour's website said the tour was sold out. The staff speaks perfect English and communication was never a problem. The breakfast is excellent, although we did have a "second breakfast" at the wonderful bakeries in the neighborhood. Breakfast is served in a magnificent "cave" on the bottom floor of the hotel. The hotel is situated very close to fine restaurants, outdoor cafés, and bars. It is a short walk from the Louvre, other museums (i.e. Musee d'Orsay and the Cluny Museum), and the Luxemburg Garden. We would definitely recommend this hotel to a first-timer or seasoned visitor to Paris.
It was not made clear that the breakfast was not included with the room. However, the charge was reasonable and, as noted, it was very good!
Staff helpful and the location was perfect.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, bed was small and slightly uncomfortable. Bathroom was good and big. Over priced for a 3 star. Would recommend though.
Great, friendly, helpful staff. Fantastic location. A relaxed and welcoming ambiance.
We got the last room in the place, room 3. The concierge picked up our key and then appeared to go into what was the back room of his office, which turned out to be our room. It had clearly been a shop at some time had a large glass window on to the street. We were woken through out the night by people after a good night out chatting merrily who one thought where actually in the room rather than the other side of the curtain. The next night we were moved to a pretty room over looking the courtyard on the 3rd floor, Room 34. A lovely room but with a bed that was a tad small, fine as long as you where either very slim, small or wanted to be curled up together all night. The third night they moved us up to the suit, room 54, it was superb. Lovely views up amongst the rafters, a bed room, bathroom and a sitting room. Highly recommended, we did not want to leave.
The staff here was amazing. They really work to make your stay as perfect as possible. The location can't be beat and we found we were able to walk to many places all over paris from here or hop on the metro very easily. We would stay here again and highly recommend this place!
Great bathroom and location (a quick walk off the metro station). Helpful, friendly staff.
Great location. Hotel has a charming feeling; our room up the outside stairs through the atrium was somewhat small but well appointed with a very comfortable bed and a great shower. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to our friends. The staff was very helpful.
There was some confusion as to which wi-fi option to use in different locations in the hotel, but there was a computer available for guests to use in the lobby.
The hotel staffs were very professional and polite, and tried their best to make our stay a very restful and relaxing one.
Good location, clean, with friendly staff. Good value.
No control over airco (apparently it's fixed automatically for all rooms until late spring). Given it was unseasonably warm, this meant that the room was roasting. Leaving the window open all night did cool things off, meaning we could also hear the recently-graduated students singing in a bar down the road at 3am. Also, the hotel wouldn't do badly to invest in a new iron & ironing board. Imagine trying to iron a shirt with a small, empty biscuit-tin, on a cardboard box. Some of its electrical cabling had also lost its insulation, which contributed to the excitement.
Excellent location and staff
Small-ish bed in our room
cosy hotel... great location, friendly staff and very French...
room bit noisy as windows are not double glazed and you could hear passers by in the street below, especially late at night, when they leave restaurants and are in a good mood...
Staff was extremely nice and helpful. And housekeeping left us some yummy treats in our room.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect, close to the river and easy to walk to the many attractions. The best part was the village feeling if the area with wonderful restaurants, bakeries, art galleries, book stores, and clothes and jewelry boutiques plus the home decor and houseware stores on rue Jacob.
The location was excellent - all the major sites were within walking distance. There were many cafes and restaurants in the area. It was very easy to reach by Metro and from the airport.
When I was booking out, the receptionist convinced me to pay my bill in my currency instead of in Euros. She assured me that this is what most do and it guarantees a better exchange rate. This was definitely not the case as her advice cost me an extra $100.
