It was cheap.

Rooms were very small and toilet/shower room like the kind of thing you would get in a caravan - tiny. Although from the outside the hotel looked quite good, the rooms were quite shabby and the whole place seemed tired and in need of refurbishment. The breakfast area was in the foyer of the hotel and appeared quite small for the size of the hotel. Although there were bowls for cereals there were no plates and everything else had to be eaten off a tray!

Excellent breakfast. Very good chinese restaurant just around the corner with superb food! The hotel was perfect for a stop off on the way from Paris to Lyon. We stayed on the way and on return, the second time was on the ground floor and was very warm during the night and not wanting to leave the window open, we were sweating. All in all, an enjoyable stay. Thank you!

I found Hôtel Cerise Auxerre pretty much as I expected: bare bones, clean, and tiny. But it was only 42 Euro for myself and my three teenagers 16 - 20 years old. Skipped the tiny breakfast without regret and recommend others do the same. Definitely a good value and I would stay here again. It's location was good too. Alan, Virginia, USA

The only problem was Internet didn't work in our room and we had to sit on the stairs or in the breakfast area to use it. But I'm not complaining much considering how low price is.

the double bed sank in the middle and needed to be flater in the middle so one didn't roll together.

We liked the situation of the hotel and its proximity to the main roads. The staff were very friendly and the facilities easy to use.

We enjoyed our stay, was only for one evening, but was need and clean. For travellers I would recommend it. Service was good and breakfast was included in the price. Thanx for the stay. Greetings Jan

Dinner was great value, and the waiter very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast good too. The room and hotel very clean and comfortable, especially the bed. The bathroom smelled a little musty, possibly only from lack of airing, but the view from the balcony wiped out any possible negativity - spectacular view and well worth the extra cost. Although a car is a necessity, this hotel is excellent value.
