We can't possibly recommend this hotel enough. It's run by a young family (father, mother, infant). They were the friendliest, most helpful hotel staff we ran into on a twenty one day tour of France and Spain. Kept the desk open late to allow us to check in after we were delayed by logistics, offered loads of great advice about restaurants and attractions in the city, future destinations (and how to get there), etc. I mentioned to the guy behind the desk that we intended to head to Spain after Avignon, he gave me some advice about how to get there and where to go first, I thanked him and headed up to my room - he called my room ten minutes later and laid out a detailed logistical plan, times, train numbers, etc. to get where we wanted to go. He had been researching our logistics since I left the room. Staff didn't charge for WiFi, gave us a larger room than we had booked, cleaned the room every day. Fantastic experience, highly recommended. Book here.

Very friendly couple own this hotel. The service from them is superb and they pay close attention to you. Location is 20 minute walk from old town, so a bit tough on the feet. However you will be hard pressed to find such a good hotel in Avignon at this price.

The room was big and the staff was friendly, gave us a map and explained everything we asked. The bathroom is ok, but the shower box was really small. The room was bit cold, even with the heating on.

I got my room for 58 euros which is not a bad deal. The hotel is indeed noisy but should not be a problem if you are a sound sleeper.

Dogs allowed in the room. Vile "hotel" in a vile neighbourhood. Staff is incapable of giving you directions to get there. The neighbourhood was noisy and scary at night. We couldn't sleep at all. The air conditioning did not work propperly and the room stank for a few hours. Very far from the city center. I would never recommend this place ever.

Staff were friendly and relaxed. It quite quiet despite being near quite a big road. If going to see shows at the Festival its a bit of walk back at night as the buses stop at 8pm, and taxis are hard to find.

though 2 stars, the service of the hotel is superb. The staff is very informative and helpful and show us a very memorable but practical plan for spending two days in Avignon. Also very good room condition. The location is okay and takes about 15mins walk to the old city.

The owners were extremely friendly, fluent in English and helpful with advice, directions, recommendations etc. The breakfast was good. We were lucky to get a park right outside. For an unprepossessing exterior and immediate environment, the hotel is a pleasant surprise. Small shower. Longish walk thru grotty neighbourhood to central old town (however, Avignon is letting itself go badly, so the centre is pretty filthy too - a bad case of abusing the goose that lays the golden egg - City needs to lift its game). We felt safe enough walking back at night despite the environs (and the smell! A lot of Avignon smells like an untended sewer). Hotel area didn't stink though.

The hotel staff were super helpful with providing information about the city and helping us with our trip planning. They looked up bus routes, contacted taxi's for us, suggested places to eat and helped research hotels at our next destination. The room was a reasonable size for the price and the little patio we had was a nice surprise.

Hotel che ha rispettato le aspettative. Camere ampie con balcone. Personale molto cordiale. Se siete disposti a camminare 25 minuti per essere in centro, prenotate senza problemi. In macchina è perfetto! Manca la porta dei bagni (in 2 camere su 2).

“Very nice room, spacious, bright and clean. Moreover, the hotel was in a very quiet location, so no noises from outside. The hotel, although not in the center of Avignon, it is next to a Velopop station (station with bikes to rent), and I recommend tourists to subscribe for 1 week (it's 5 euros) cause It makes life much easier.” Angeliki, Saarbrucken |
