Fairly decent hotel and close to metro station. Assuming you just need a place to leave your luggage and sleep at night, it's definitely worth it. Walls are a little thin, and you can hear people going in the doorways quite clearly. Then again, that's probably an issue with most Paris hotels in this price range. |

Very small hotel under refurishment today. The rooms are finished, but the staircase is messy now. No elevator, only narrow stairs. Small but nice, clean room. |

The hotel was terrible. When we arrived we found out that it was being decorated at that moment. It was all closed up and there were workers everywhere, painting, knocking with hammers. We couldn't sleep because every morning at 8 30 we could hear noises from the builders. The hotel was simply not livable. Nobody told us that the hotel is in such a state, I don't even understand how can they offer this hotel when it is in process of building. When we wanted to complain the only thing they told us was tell our manager, but he obviously wasn't there. Generally terrible experience. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone |

I liked the small familiar hotel. The rooms were clean. It is a bit like an American motel. The Rooms are not much bigger than the medium king-size-bed (but I also saw normal beds in small rooms; so I was lucky not to live in such a room). I had a small table and a chair also, so it was absolutely ok. The bathroom was maybe two qm. It was also nice, that the next metro station (Pére Láchaise) was only six minutes from the hotel and that the street of the hotel was not too busy and I could sleep with open windows (to the back front). It took me only twenty minutes from the metro-station of the hotel to the main tourist destinations in Paris (Louvre etc.). I liked not that I was not informed, that the hotel is interior completely under restoration. I was also not amused that when I came back from clubbing at 4pm in the night that the hotel was totally closed. I knocked at the door but nobody opened. So I fished for the hotel-number in my pocket and called the as well closed small reception. A man took off the phone, sounded sleepy. He came to the door and apologized that he was sleeping. So my advice: Take the hotel number always with you. |

The room was clean and reasonably central. The staff were most helpful with directions etc. There were no extra pillows, no shampoo or shower gel and T.V did not work. |

Hotel is very clean, staff English speaking, used hotel only for sleeping over night, high recommendation for low budget visit to Paris. Hotel was in repair, but not affecting my stay, and also they can improve morning breakfast. |

The shower was adequately good, which meant you could wash the general grime of the hotel away easily, a definite necessity. "I am not baggage, I am reception!" was the reply of the hotel staffer who refused to help us with our heavy bags to the second floor. The hotel is modern, in an ironic sense only. Clean?...Found a chocolate donut and cigarette butts under bed, it was easy to understand why the "cleaners" were eating kebabs on the stairwell. No facilities whatsoever, had to beg for a glass!! Pipes started up at 6am, crumbling walls, and damp patches everywhere, door on room not secure. Staying at the (Bates Motel), Hotel Modern gave one a general sense of fear and impending doom. On leaving the manager took strong objection to us taking a photo inside the hotel, I can only imagine he is concerned that it'll pop up on one of those hotel-horror websit |

The room was nicely decorated and quiet with access to a metro stop about 5 minutes away however this station was not on the main line for tourist attractions so we always had to change. Our room was on 6th floor and there was no lift. Location was not great. |

We could hear the slightest sounds from neighboring rooms, as if the walls were made of cardboard. The bathroom door handle was broken. The water accumulated on the floor as one showered. The staff could not provide us with the remote control for three days, although they promised every day to give us one. Room was way too small. There was no elevator. The staff gave us the wrong instructions to go to Versailles. Some staff was nice, but the manager or owner was impolite. |

No Elevators, which can be a problem especially if you stayed on the 5th floor. Bed is not very comfortable. The price of the hotel wasn't extremely cheap, so was expecting a little bit more for that price. |
