Very near... walkable to the nearest Metro Station Pere Laschies There were Lidl and the the Carefour supermarkets nearby
No Lift No proper lighting No extra plugs for charging equipments The staff kept the window open after cleaning the room, no security The Bed linen was not clean all dirty. 2 out of 5 bulbs glow.
price, location & size of room
Housekeeping ladies didnt knocking befor come in my room (((
Extremely small room, too much of noise, extra money for TV, extremely small bathroom with doors 30 cm from the bed, no privacy then. For this "comfort" it should be much cheaper.
Comfortable room (22) of good size. Shower worked well. Quiet locality and heavy curtains made for a good dark sleep.
Carting heavy suitcase up 4 flights because no lift a bit of a drag.
Perfect located and that's pretty much it!
Staff wasn't friendly, maybe because we're german... The rooms are tiny small. No comfort at all, no elevator. I've been traveling with my kids, one is a few months young. The floor in our room was very dirty, expecially underneath the beds so I couldn't let him crawl there.
Interesting to be close to Pere Lachaise cemetery ... always interesting for a reflection on the past, but also nice to stroll through. The Pere Lachaise metro and close '69' bus connections were also useful for getting around. Enjoyed the urban areas around Hotel Modern.
Our apartment was on the 5th floor, without a lift, so had to lug 'tour' bags up the tight stairs, and then make sy=ure each day's trip was planned for '0ne return only' – to sleep and recover from the walk up! Don't recall this information in our booking. Our daughter was also booked into the hotel. She was on the 6th floor.
Very very noisy, can't get no sleep, very bad isolation, you can hear in other room people talking, old dirty blanket, cleaning ladies are there all the time and you can't rest moment, people this is not a hotel it's like hostel!
There is no elevator...unacceptable specially if you are traveling with baggage which you have to lift until 3rd floor.
Coffee in cafe next door
Stairs, but got fitter each day!
The beds were very comfortable and clean. Service was very good. Hot water took a while to flow but was ample and shower head worked well. We did not partake of the breakfast, it was on the simplest side of continental and there were EXCELLENT bakeries outside the door. There is also a convenient Carrfour. Metro is convenient. The QUAD is in the attic with adorable dormer (?) windows. We were with my vegan sister and one of the bakeries had vegan items that were VERY good.
Being in the quad in the attic room meant that you had to stoop in the roofline. The shower stall also was so small that my elbow stuck out the opening when I was washing my hair. The six floors were a challenge, but we only had backpacks so it was not so bad. No fridge, no way to warm food, and actually very little table space even to set food on, so the convenient grocery was rendered less useful. In fact, very little room to put our limited things (backpacks only) at all. If you had suitcases you could put them under the angled wall in the bathroom, lots of dead space there, but who wants to put stuff in the bathroom?
Simple life and Location.
The hotel is good. Well located in Rue du Chemin Very, near the metro station Père Lachaise. Lote of restaurantes in the street, near the hotel. They have a good price, also for the breakfast.
The WiFi acces. You have only one acces for bedroom. So I had to switch with my friend the WiFi password.
rooms are very very tight....you have to walk by your side to pass to the Bathroom
small room, poor facilities and staff.
1. No. 34 room window is blocked without any reason, and the hotel person attitude is very bad, refuse to help to open, and it's really smelly with cheap perfume in the room. 2. No elevator, and No. 34 is located in 6th floor....
- Good location, near by metro, supermarket, restaurant , cafe and bar. - Staffs are friendly
- No elevator so you might imagine if you stay on the 6th floor - I stayed at quadruple room (4 persons), room is very small, shower and toilet is very very small so I would say it is not convenience. - Last thing, if you travel with old person please check with them what floor you will get the room otherwise you might end up at 6 floor like me.
Staff were very friendly, and forgiving of our poor french, rooms were maintained each day, shower was amazing, will really miss it, area is nice with great selection of restaurants nearby and close to metro and pere-lachaise cemetery.
No real facilities outside of the rooms, if you have difficulty with stairs, this may be a problem as there is no lift.
quiet room at back of hotel single small room as advertised clean shower and w.c. etc simple, cheap breakfast (juice, coffee, croissant and bread)
long way up stairs to third floor with suitcase, no help offered
At 5 min walking distance from the metro station of Pere Lachaise. Hard to beat prices considering relatively central location in Paris with good quality for money ratio.
Very small room (12 m^2 for a triple) while leaving the window ajar to change the air can turn into too much noise from the street to rest well.
Location, helpful and friendly staff, cleaness, airy and bright room
Shower was nice.
Wifi could be used only for one device. Sometimes didn't work at all with an error of maximum simultaneous connections reached. No elevator.
-stuffs are kind, almost no communication problems in English. -clean room, hot water. -can be counted as " good location" -many restaurants, bars, supermarkets around. -5 minutes walk to metro
-room is very small. We are four adults, in one 18 m2 room with leaning roof, hard to walk, very crowded. -no elevator, it was not mentioned in description! If you have a lot of luggage, it will exhaust you to lift it to sixth floor! -loud neighborhood. -toilet smells funny. -wifi can be only used on one device.
It is a very nice economical hotel, quite up to the declared 2-star category. Clean rooms and shower/toilet facilities; towels changed every day. There is a hairdryer in the shower-room. Two underground stations, several supermarkets, a bakery, some cafes are all in the vicinity of the hotel.
There was nothing we particularly minded or that spoilt our holiday. All shortcomings have been mentioned in the reviews published here. It was rather noisy in the rooms, particularly if windows overlook the main street. There is no air-conditioning, which may be a problem during hot summer, but in September it was irrelevant.
Very small rooms and the staff always does not speak english.
