The hotel restaurant although very short staffed during our visit entailed long waits for food even though the member of staff worked very hard.

The location is really excellent peaceful retreat. We drove from the south of France so it was a lovely area to spend relaxing for a few days. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean. Restaurant we found good value simple but well prepared and presented food. Breakfast was good value too but get down early if you want a plentiful supply of cooked breakfast items! Great value hotel I would stay here again. Wifi is free but poor signal in rooms is frustrating.

Looking out of our bedroom window and seeing the sea, and hearing the waves. Very poor service at dinner. Ordered table for 7.30pm, main course arrived at 9pm!. The cuisine - too much show and not enough substance. Very small bedroom for a three-star hotel.

Staff were excellent - very helpful and attentive (which was very much appreciated after a very long drive). Location was fabulous and overall cleanliness in the main hotel areas was of a high standard. Whilst the family room had wonderful views it was disappointingly furnished and didn't reflect the aesthetic standards both in the restaurant and bar areas (Walking through the hotel on arrival we were all excited to get to our room - upon opening the door we were a little deflated)

Lovely location I think that considering the cost of the rooms that breakfast should of been included. It cost us 11 per adult and 5.50 euros per child for a breakfast. Brittany ferries holidays do include breakfast with thier package. Also the hotel restaurant did not offer any chioldrens meals, so we ate out.

Annie, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was very cozy top floor with dormer style ceiling, tastefully decorated. Bed was very comfy. They had a nice lounge area and friendly bartender. The location on the beautiful beach could not be beat. Swimming was superb. Great coast line walks too. Tiny shower stall made showering a challenge in our room, with shower curtain sticking to your body the whole time (and I'm a small person). And, as throughout France, they apparently like their scrambled eggs brown. My wife and I do not. However, this is one of the few hotels we found in our entire 3 week stay that even offers a hot buffet style breakfast, and it had very good ham as well as the usual French version of fatty, limp "bacon". There are no other breakfast options in the immediate area though.

A wonderful location, next to a gentle bay, with lapping waves. The staff were very good, always courteous. The breaksfast was good, with plenty of choice. For a French hotel the evening dinner service was frankly awful. On the first night it took over 2 hours to serve two courses!, And even then the vegetables were cold. We complained, but didn't eat there again, preferring a super beach restaurant 300 yds away. A really nice hotel, but just don't have dinner!

A lovely aspect was the fact that the hotel was right on the beach. The hotel had a lovely open plan feel in the bar/restaurant area. The rooms were spacious.Staff were friendly and rooms were cleaned well. Didn't mind us walking in covered in sand. A nice touch was a free bottle of local cidre in the room on arrival. Probably wouldn't have booked this hotel if I had known it had been taken over by Best Western. However, it still retained some character despite the Everest style windows. Shame we didn't have a sea view. A balcony would have been nice. The usual tea/coffee/kettle would have been nice to have in the room.

Good location right on the beach Although the hotel was right on the beach there is little else there. The reception staff spoke fairly good english although on the day we checked out the person on reception spoke the whole time in french inspite of a notice that read "We speak english in this hotel", the staff in the restaurant were very reluctant to speak english and didn't even have an english menu. We didn't find the hotel very friendly.
