The design renovations of about 10 years ago have not been well maintained. Light fixtures were broken, bathroom faucets leaked and there was black mold around the rim of the tub. The toilet access panel was misaligned and dirty. The electrical outlet in living room was crooked. The "superior" room we were first placed in was so small that you couldn't walk around the bed. The suite was more spacious but the charges were considerably more. For that money we should have stayed in the Four Seasons. I liked this hotel from a stay a few years back. Even though the service people were very nice, I don't think that we will stay there again.

My husband and I chose hotel Montalembert for location, price and tasteful decor- we were not disappointed. The staff were helpful and the service good. The bar was lovely . We were initially given a rather awful room at the back of the hotel. They changed us to a corner front room which was perfect for us.

The bellboy that was running after us to claim his tip with "grossière" insistence , we got a good laugh about it. Asked for a twin bed room, did check in around noon and asked again to make sure to have a twin bed: they confirmed ! Went to the hotel at night and discovered a double bed : went down and told them my disappointment. And there the answers were not appropriated for the standard of the hotel. We didn't sleep all night ! Bravo Cherry on the cake: went down next morning at 10:20 and were told they didn't serve breakfast after 10:00, the only thing we could have was a cup of coffee without anything else !!!!! They even didn't try to help us out....this on a we ! Checked out immediately, not even a word of apology: such a bad experience never ever again

The staff were very nice and very helpful. The room was pretty spacious. The location was great. Hotel very clean. Service was very good. The bathroom--round sinks make water splash all over when you turn on faucet. Tubs are also set very high and hard to step into and out of. At Christmas, would be nice to have a Christmas tree or more festive decoration. Would be nice to have some little treats on Christmas--a few chocolate or something--on Christmas day. Don't always recommend the top-priced restaurants to guests, but also those which have great food and lots of character that might be a bit more reasonable.

The staff was excellent and the conceirge very helpful in getting us reservations at restaurants and museums and taxis when necessary. Our room was very nice and a decent size for a Parisian hotel. The bathroom was clean, well appointed and contemporary in design. The evening "turn down" was a very nice touch and made us feel very well cared for. The small elevators were quick and quiet and our morning room service punctual and delicious. I would definitely stay here again. It was hard to shut out some of the street noise at night, but I guess that is because the hotel is boutique and facing the street so our windows opened out onto a balcony. I would never trade that experience, even for a quieter room. How many hotels do you know of in nyc or anywhere that have french doors opening onto a balcony??

The very positive and friendly attitude of all the staff Our first room which only had a shower and was absurdly small yet was classified as 'superior'. Our second room was excellent.

Location We asked to be upgraded, and for a hefty price with no breakfast (anpthee hefty chargw) they gave us a junior suite at the top (no lift to the 8th floor). The room (two very small spaces) , was unconfortable and absolutely not suitable actually dangerous for tall people; antiquated shower system; centrl heating did not work but they were kind enough to provide a small heater. Good views though. Very very limited communal spaces

The staff are very friendly and always eager to assist. Although free, the WiFi service limitations, such as web only mail access and automatic logging off after two hours, makes it difficult for a business traveler to stay at this hotel. Rooms are in need of refreshing. Overall, hotel is a bit overpriced for the quality of the rooms. Lots of street noise in rooms facing street, even on higher floor.

The situation of the hotel as we went out for dinner at Joel Robuchon next door 1) At arrival (approx 16:00) we couldn't get our booked room because of eletric problems! We said we couldn't move because we were in the hotel together with clients. Fyi: i called the day before to check if reservation was ok and on that moment no problem. 2) room was a 1-person-bedroom for me and my wife. We payed for a bigger room. Airco was full on or nothing, bathroom was only possible for 1 person. 3) breakfast: really overpriced, go and have it somewhere else I will never stay in that hotel any more: very impolite people at the reception and top expensive.

Casi no saben hablar inglés.
