Martine & Pierre were excellent hosts and our stay in their BnB home couldn't have been better. There is nothing like staying in castle from 1679 in the modern age. Rooms were excellent with all the modern cons. The breakfast was amazing, certainly nothing that we had been privy to on our travels. Definitely the place to stay with all the charm of a village experience in Provence. Highly recommend.
Everything - from Martine's warm and gracious welcome to the equally so, farewell. This Maison D'Hotes Is such a delightful place to relax - quiet but convenient location only minutes from the bustling Uzes, beautiful rooms and amazing breakfasts. Especially loved the view from our top floor suite.
Nothing - I loved this place and look forward to returning.
The hosts. The dinner location!! Everything.
Pierre and Martine have worked hard to turn this charming, c.17th century home into a characterful unique bed and breakfast Successfully managed to combine modern amenities without loosing any of the charm Great breakfasts in the lovely courtyard Very helpful in providing good advice to see the most from the local area
A very hospitable by the owners who provided a map of Uzes and an aperitif. The building was gorgeous- 16th century building, gorgeous stylish bedroom with ultra modern bathroom. Breakfast was best ever had in France with fantastic choice including wonderful homemade conserves. Cannot praise highly enough.
Loved it all! I surely felt like a princess and this is appropriate to feel like this in this hotel! We would love to come back right now....The stylished, comfortable, historical and friendly hotel!
only booked for 2 nights, thos was our regret!
Very welcoming staff - especially as we arrived late. Delicious breakfast. Room very spacious and groovy.
Wi-fi information in the room did not work for my daughter.
This wonderful B&B is part of a castle dating back many centuries. Our suite was beautifully appointed, blending the historical aspects of the castle with every modern convenience. Set in the tranquil village of Montmarten, it was three minutes drive to Uzes. Martine and Philipe, were superb hosts, for whom nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed the company of other guests, whilst eating Martine's delicious breakfast, each morning. We would not hesitate to recommend Monte Arena to others and hope to return one day.
Be advised that the staircase is steep. It was no problem for us, but should be a consideration for elderly guests.
The place and the owners are incredible: we felt like home and at the same time like in an artists house. Allthough we travel a lot, we never saw a hotel decorated with so much taste before. All in all, we can't decide what was best: the kindness of the owners, the design of the rooms, the tasty breakfast, having the bikes to ride to Ùzes? Everything was just perfect!
Beautiful home decorated and furnished in real style. Hosts extremely attentive (except see meals) , kind and accommodating. Breakfasts absolutely unbeatable - cannot remember better. Room very stylish but a tad style over substance. Very clean - good Wi Fi.
Most disappointed advertised meals not available during 4 night stay in July as hosts otherwise engaged with local council duties - priorities wrong. Security of parking a concern as an out of sight field. Room not perfect - only two hooks/hangers for 4 night stay, doors stuck, cannot lock doors to rooms - walkway in front of room 204 window/double doors so curtains need to remain closed.
Warm and friendly hosts. Beautiful location. Great breakfast. We will return to Monte Arena.
Such a warm welcome from the charming Martine, Pierre and their daughters Pauline & Olivia. Monte Arena is a stylish, relaxed and very comfortable home away from home. Location is perfect for exploring beautiful Uzes and surrounding attractions. Bountiful breakfasts with homemade jams etc. would definitely stay here again
Excellent hospitable owners
Stunning decor, spacious rooms, tranquil, artistic ambience, delectable breakfasts. Quite luxurious and unique in all respects. Wonderful hosts. A wonderful experience.
The house is incredible, misterious and beautifully decorated!!! It is soo convenient too! The hosts are friendly and helpful! The breakfasts delicious. You will not want to leave Monte Arena ;)
Everything! Rooms, location, style, owners, owners children! So helpful and accommodating.
Almost everything. Charming hosts. Beautiful rooms and courtyard. Lovely breakfasts. Warm welcome. bikes! Safe parking within 50 metres.
Need Something to hold windows open at night when very hot so a cooling breeze can blow through!
Exquisite house, worth paying for suite to enjoy stunning interior...eg the loft.Martine and Pierre were so helpful, engaging and nothing was too much trouble.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the owners, Martine and Pierre, and the delicious breakfasts - home-made jams, fresh fruit, eggs, all served in their charming courtyard. The stylish decor in a beautiful, characterful old building.
No hanging space for clothes in the bedroom.
Owners Martine and Pierre have created an incredible experience for the few people who are lucky enough to stay in this converted Medieval castle. It is super chic and yet low key at the same time. We had almost no plans when we arrived, and each morning after breakfast, Martine would help us plan our day, pulling out maps and making suggestions. It was perfection.
There isn't much to include here!
Quaint, different and enjoyable. Excellent breakfast, well served, with a smile.
Should have night cap facilities.
The Hotel was excellent. We received a very warm welcome from our hosts. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We loved the village and enjoyed watching the festival
Loved, loved, loved it! The rooms are more apartments than rooms. Great all around experience.
We liked the location, a small village, the property, a restored medieval residence, the suite, breakfast, and the hosts.
