i like orientation of hotel
to much stairs to get to room no parking no sign of hotel wich was so bad to find it very dirty bathroom and hallways
In the 2 bedroom room there was no attached toilet and we have to use common toilet, which was really disappointing
The walk AWAY from this hotel!
We booked a room for one night as a stop-gap between Disneyland and flying home, we didn't expect much for the price. We arrived and someone attempted to pick my pocket on the walk to the hotel. Upon arrival, the hotel looks pretty run down. The reception is on the first floor, so we had to carry 3 large suitcases and a pushchair up so we could check in. The smell of cooking was very strong throughout. We were on the 6th floor and had to climb the stairs as there was no lift, the carpets on the stairs were filthy and uneven. The room was dirty and was sloped because of the age of the building, there was a big open window that we had to keep closed because we had a young child and there was no safety rail, the beds were also dirty. We arrived at 8PM, we went for something to eat (walked as far from the area as possible) and left the hotel at 11.00PM. We decided it would be preferable to sleep on the floor of the airport.
Hotel is located at good location with walking distance of metro station and near market.
Door lock of washroom and drainage system of washbasin were not working properly.
Close to the basilica of Sacre Coeur ( around 5 min walk). Clean towels and linens. Clean room. A small kitchen available across lobby for warming up food and/or bringing your own.
I knew before hand the quality of the hotel, so I was not expecting much anyway... Rooms are old and some of them have trace of mold. My group was composed of an old couple of seniors and my family of 2 kids, the hotel doesn't have an elevator so for the seniors it was a hassle to go up 7 floor each day of our stay. No luck in changing rooms bc they were full. Staff not so friendly, and you need to pay before getting your room key. Sadly, if you want to have a better quality of a stay in Paris for your money, you need to stay outside the main attractions, or pay the price.
near the metro station
no lift, room is small
In Montmartre district 1 m stop away (location actually between 2 stops: Barbes Rochechouart and Anvers) from central railway station Gare du Nord toilet area renovated and relatively speaking bigger than the room itself (for 4 people) :-) More suitable for young people w/o kids and w/o luggage or too many expectations
No elevator and rooms starting from floor 3 in July room hot and w/o air conditioning or ventilation ! 1 hair-drier availabe ar reception shared fridge in the kitchen on 2nd floor house-cleaning leaves to be desired: at check-in found used wet towels in the bathroom Bedding is shabby and looks old and well-used Shower is either cold or hot-hot - not safe to use for children without supervision
Friendly staff, nice location (really close to Sacre Coeur and Moulin Rouge but quite far from Eiffel tower area, though easy public transport).
Room was quite cramped, Bedding not that clean (I did find a bug below my pillow which was unpleasant) Shower head broken (needed held up) Was out of the hostel most of the day anyway so wasn't too fussed.
Clean, friendly, reasonable, helpful. Kitchen is a great bonus. Sharing bathrooms was fine. Loved the location and relaxed atmosphere.
Very noisy at night and bed was not very comfortable.
It's barely a 1 star but it does what it says on the packet. No complaints.
Location is convenient to gare du nord
Carrying bags up 4 flights of stairs and the noise outside all night. It was too hot to keep the windows closed so very noisy!
staffs are very kind
it's a bit far from the center
Location was good, close to the metro. But whatever positive aspects of this hotel are, the most important issue remains: it is infested with bed bugs!
Infested with bed bugs!! I stayed here for 3 nights. On the second night I was badly bitten by the bed bugs. I had about 18 bites all over my body which have quickly grown to about 3cm dark red itchy spots on my skin. I should have looked for another hotel, but as I was required to pay up-front for all 3 nights on arrival and I had no time to look for another hotel so I requested to change the room from 4th to 6th floor informing them about the bed bugs. The staff didn't seem to be too surprised. In the other room I got bitten another 9 times on my legs and feet. At the end of the stay I had about 30 huge red itchy bites. Additionally all the bed sheets seem to be old and worn out, carpets don’t look clean and the hotel overall seems a little dirty. Floors are all at an angle - looks like the building is falling apart. Being bitten by bed-bugs in a hotel has serious consequences for the traveler. There is a potential danger of bugs spreading to the suitcase, clothes, shoes. Removing the bed-bugs from your home if infested can be extremely difficult and costly exercise - you might face thousands of dollars or be forced to move out of the house. It took an enormous effort to make sure that I get rid of any potential bugs and pretty much destroyed the rest of my holidays.
The room had fleas!!!! Also the shower leaked waste line gases. KEpt the bathroom door closed and window open to vent fumes. Figured out the last day that the cleaning people did not replace the shower hair trap correctly and it allowed the gases to come up into the bathroom. Wify did not work in rooms everybody in hotel would sit on the stairs to logn.
Staff were helpful. Good location to trains and quick to Downtown
Most of the employees did a good job, they where friendly and helpful.
However we stayed for two days and had to argue to get some clean towel the night of the first day, the guy on the front desk I was told I would get some clean towels in the morning. Have you ever heard of this? People like to get up and take a shower not wait until the receive some clean towels. We had a room for three adults two children the fourth bed broke the first night I ask the front desk to have it fixed, they did not. The pipe that goes to the water tank in the Bathroom was dripping so if you went to the bathroom you feed got wet. Again I let the front desk know nothing was done. Would not stay there again.
It was in a good location, not too far from a metro and close to several shops. The rooms were clean and the beds made every morning and fresh towels were provided every morning also. We declined breakfast but did use the kitchen facilities. Although there was no cooker, they have a fridge and a microwave. The staff were quite friendly although some didn't speak English, but that was to be expected. The staff were very helpful with any questions we had regarding travelling on the metro and told us about the supermarkets in case we wanted to buy food. There isn't a shower on every floor but they are kept very clean as are the toilets. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I enjoyed the hostel.
The room didn't have air conditioning so the rooms did get a little warm overnight. The hostel is situated on a quite noisy road so it can get quite loud at night but it does die down and the hostel can't really help it.
Lady at the reception is quite informative and help. Easy access to 3 metro stations.
We got the attic room, got heads knocked a few times! Uneven floor, unclear bedding, extremely hot when sunset and no air conditioner to make it easier.
Location is central....close to a mc d, supermart, metro ...... N a lot of action suited to ppl traveling without kids
5 floors and no lift.....shabby interiors
Friendly staff, great location in Montmartre, near metro.
Old Hotel, need an urgent remoledación, the stairs are steep, the bedroom is also steep and no lift. We have christened the hotel inclined, like the tower of Pisa
Location to public transport, friendly reception staff. Next door to a delicious bakery.
The area is awful, the streets are dirty and there is an ominous presence. The hotel is opposite McDonalds which could be a plus for some but adds to noise and mess. The room smelt of cigarette smoke.
Staff were great. Location. Excellent.
The smell in the bathroom!!
Very friendly helpful staff. Would stay again.
Location, friendly and helpful staff.
Lacks basic hygiene, No mirror, smelly, extremely noisy drainage system.
